View Full Version : Bulletbill needs our prayers and support.
Hi,i've just recently come back online after quite a long abscence.i've been looking up old friends and was thrilled to find one of the 1st guys to make me feel comfortable when i 1st joined the tmf, bill.unfortunately he's got cancer and is undergoing surgery today,he should be ok according to his doctor but there's months of check ups etc ahead.as usual he's being the solid guy he is but i know a few prayers and messages of support would be a boost to him at this trying time.get well soon mate, steve.

is this the same bulletbill who writes those great stories? however whether it is or not..my thoughts are with him..all my best to him..
I had no idea he was going through this. I saw him only a few weeks ago in the chat room and he did not let on that he was not well. I am so sorry to hear he is now engaged in the fight of his life.
My thoughts and prayers will definitely be with him. If possible, please keep us informed of his condition. Thank you.

I confess. Bill told me about this in the chat the other night, in a private chat we had, but asked me not to say anything, so I kept it to myself, out of respect for him.
Of course, my thoughts and prayers are with him. I hope his procedure was successful, and that he emerges cancer free, and has a complete recovery.

Just got a e-mail from Bill today. His Dr. took a good chunk of his tongue, and a little bit of throat tissue, and thinks all the yucky stuff is gone. Gonna be a year or so of constant checkups to be sure.
I know Bill, (He and I live about 40 miles apart and get together whenever possible) and I can tell you he is solid fighter. Not an ounce of self-pity in the man. It wouldn't be his way to "spread the news" the way alot of folks (Including myself) do. Yeah, he's got a long way to go as far as recovery, but I'll put money on 2 things:
1: Bill's gonna John Wayne this cancer. ("Get the F*** outta here, Death!)
2: Bill's gonna find out (And report back to us!) if his cute blonde Doctor is ticklish! :veryhappy
Kickass, Bill!

Hello all,
Let me first say thank you to all for your prayers and support. It was what is called a squamous cell skin cancer on the underside of my tongue. This kind IS malignant, but ISN'T necessarily the fast-moving type. I caught it early and it was small (under a half inch around). The doc (as tkrexx said, a very cute blonde named Jennifer), took it out and took biopsies of the back of my tongue and throat, which hurt more than my tongue does. She put a graft from my thigh on the hole under my tongue (at least the didn't come from my butt!). I'll know more monday. I'll have monthly doctor visits for a year, but hopefully, it's all over. The hardest part was quitting smoking, the nicotine gum tasted like crap, but it helped. I urge all of our friends that still smoke to stop! I've been on a codeine/tylenol cocktail for 3 days now, but it didn't work very well so I stopped taking it last nite. There's a bottle of good Irish whisky chilling in the freezer (thinking of you Steve!) and a case of beer in the fridge which I will indulge in tonight! My attitude about the situation is best expressed in my story-writing style:
Astride his horse, the officer surveyed the mounted troopers to his left and right, then looked into the valley below. He knew what to expect, as well as what must be done. Turning to his First Sergeant on his left, he raised his saber. "Bugler, sound the charge!" The enemy would soon feel his sword...

Hello All!
Thank you all again for your prayers and support. The biopsies on other areas were clear, as were my lungs and gullet/stomach.
I'm still "thore and thpeaking thupid", but THAT will improve. I have to see Dr. Jennifer Berge (VERY CUTE, HELL, PRETTY BLONDE!) once a month for a year, but I SWEAR tkrexx, I will come up with an excuse to tickle her! I still have most of my tongue (a big crater underneath) and I FIRMLY RESOLVE TO JOIN AND MARCH IN A COMPETITVE SENIOR DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS BEFORE I DIE (For YOU Mimi, sweetie!) ! I want to win a drum corps Gold Medal, like J.D. did in my story "Soloist"! Cancer will NOT defeat me! *Draws his saber* "COMPANY, CHAAAAARRRRGE!"

1. The bad news: I'm still having writer's block as far as stories go. :(
2. The frustrating news: Still can't figure out how to get Dr, Jennifer
barefoot in the exam room!
3. The good news: 2 more (OWWCH!) biopsies. Both came back negative! :)

Bill, you just gave us the most important news. I am so relieved for you, my friend, that the biopsies came back negative. I hope and pray that your health news continues to be good.
As for the old writer's block, I can relate. I get it too. It will come to you, I am sure. Take care, my friend, and all the best to you.

Hi all,
THE GOOD NEWS: I went to see Dr. Jennifer Friday 1 Aug 2008. I'm told to come back again in 4 months. THE BAD NEWS: Tkrexx and others, I saw the Doc in shorts ands sandals a month ago at the mall: her lower legs and thighs are the same size and her FEET? EEEEEEGH! OOOHOOOHGH! Sorry Rexx, I wouldnt tickle her feet with YOUR tongue! I don't know what it is, but have you ever met a girl that you wouldn't tickle even if she was the most ticklish girl in the world because something JUST WASN'T RIGHT? THE OTHER NEWS: After two years, I've written another story. First there was "Soloist" in the story section. Now I have written "Soloist II: Bobby" also in the story section. I'd love to read your feedback! BULLETBILL RETURNS!

I'm glad your Dr visit went well yesterday, Bill.
There is one girl whose feet I wouldnt tickle with my tounge, although she's not someone I know personally, and that is Britney Spears. For some reason, while the rest of her body isnt bad, I've just never liked her feet.
