The jury voted for the death penalty in the sentencing and penalty phases of the John Couey trial..he was found guilty of raping and burying alive little Jessica Lunsford back in 2005...

I am not usually for the death penalty. But in this case, this guy deserves it! Any person who does that to a child ought to die.
It's just sad that it took this to finally put the monster in jail. :dropatear

I agree..and to think he had been brought before justice previously for sexual assault....and set free to do it all again..What i think should happen, is place him in a few bags as he did Jessica, bury him in a hole, and see if he can live..being a bit larger than Jessica, maybe he will survive, maybe not..o and with his hands tied with stereo cable as hers was..

From what I've heard, he had been arrested 25 times before raping and murdering little Jessica.
When a person does this over and over and over again, wouldn't someone say, 'Hey this guy is never going to stop. Let's put him away for good.'
We should be protecting the kids, not letting these monsters go free to do this again.

My only regret is that the method of death isn't being buried alive.
