I'm a huge nylon tickling fan. Would love to try my hand at making some of my nylon tickling fantasies come to life using 3D animation software. Would like input re: names of 3D software available.

If you want free 3D modelling software, download TrueSpace 3.2 (http://www.download.com/TrueSpace/3000-2186_4-10298420.html) . As mentioned, this version is free, and has everything you should need for basic 3D modelling. After downloading you have to sign up with your e-mail address, but just use a fake one.

Your best bet would be a version of Poser, which specializes in 3D character creation, but is a program you'd have to purchase ($250 for most recent version - Poser 7), or you could try Daz Studio, which is comparable to Poser, except the base program is free from Daz3d.com (you have to pay for the add-ons to the program). Either one should do you well.
