The Good Guys embarked on their next road trip. They began the trip by taking two out of three in Washington, before dropping two of three in Philadelphia, and winning two of three in Cincinnatti. They returned home, on a Sunday, to begin a nine game homestand, with the teams they had opened the season against, as they were playing them for the second time.
During the road trip, Naomi, at least on the surface, seemed to back off her "Give me what I want, or we're finished", ultimatium. During a heartfelt, lengthy, discussion on the computer, while Mitch was in his hotel room in Philadelphia one night, Naomi explained to him that she wholeheartedly wanted to cyber with him, and give him webcam shows, and unlimited sex. However, in her heart, she knew that there were issues that had to be settled in their marriage, and, that she simply could not give him a "free pass". The next night, Gil Bellows was shut out, as he allowed but three runs, but lost, 3-0. The bats were booming for Charlize Theron the following night, as Paradise scored eight times, including a three run homer by pitcher Charlize. She ended up firing seven strong innings, allowing only one run, in an 8-1 triumph.
Thursday was an off day. That day, in counseling, Mitch and Naomi explained their lusty sex encounters to their therapist, as they had another one, two nights after the time that Mitch came home. "I dont understand it, but, then again, I've given up trying to predict you two. You have such a complex relationship, that you might well stay together forever, or divorce this year. Rachel Leigh Cook took a 5-1 loss on Saturday night. Kate Hudson opposed John Smoltz on a sunny, warm, 85 degree Sunday afternoon, in front of a sellout. The game saw the two aces not at their best. The Braves took a lead, before the Good Guys tied it up. The game was tied, 3-3 in the sixth, before Smoltz allowed a three run homer to Mitch, which finished Smoltz's day of pitching. With the Good Guys then ahead, the Braves again tied the game in the seventh, at six all, on another homer off Kate. Finally, in the eighth, second baseman Russell, and Mitch, hit homers, good for three runs, as the bullpen finished the job in the ninth, for a wild, 9-6, Good Guy win, that was very uncharacteristic, of a game in which both Kate and Smoltz had started the contest.
Houston visited Paradise on Monday night, in the homestand's last series. Gil Bellows was the starter on Monday. This time, the Good Guys scored early and often for him, and Bellows went six innings, giving a quality start, by allowing only three runs, and coming out on top, of a 5-3 score. Charlize had the ball on Tuesday night. She gave up but one bad pitch, a two run homer. Unfortunately for Charlize ,and the Good Guys, Astros starter Roy Oswalt shut Paradise down, and out, on but four hits, as the Islanders lost, 2-0. Neve Campbell took the mound, on a sunny, hot, humid, 92 degree Paradise day, in front of a sellout. Neve got hit hard that day, allowing four runs in six innings. The Good Guys trailed, 4-2 in the seventh, when, with two on, Ed Burns came up, and mashed a homer into the right field bullpen, giving the Good Guys a 5-4 lead. Paradise had to tiptoe through the final two innings, with the pen, but, get the win they did, as Hilary Duff got out of a men on base situation in the ninth, and the Good Guys walked away with a 5-4 Paradise Island win, that completed a fine six and three homestand. On field, the play of the team was solid. Off field, while there had been no volcanic activity between the couple during the ten day home stanza, the entire situation was still, a volcano, ready to erupt, at a moment's notice.
In the meantime, the team held it's Saturday night tickle party. The featured lee would be one of the team's male coaches. He was tied hands and feet to the bed, in the middle of the fetish club.
