Hi all.

We are all excited about the last weekend and few basic "rules" might quite slip away in the rush of writing a report post...
Just a general word of caution and few reminders to anybody who's reporting events that happened at NEST.

Foreword: I am NOT a mod nor an organizer, so these are just PERSONAL advices that I believe being acceptable.

1. unless you asked specific permission to a person, please, DO NOT USE real names in the forum. The TMF community is way larger than the NEST attendees and not all of us are willing to make their identity (or even pieces of their identity) known to anyone.

2. pictures and videos were not allowed at NEST events, but there were no specific rules outside the scheduled activities. If you want to post something, please, be sure to ask permission to anybody who's in the picture/clip or whose voice is in the audioclip. Again, there are people who might not like it.

3. on the same line, if you're writing a story describing in details what OTHER attendees/TMF members have done, it is probably corteous to ask them before if it is ok before posting.

4. even if the event is over, the location of the main event and the hotels are probably better not to be disclosed (I am not sure about that but it is common sense).

Again, we are all wonderfull people but we are not alone in here and the forum is a PUBLIC place. Keep that in mind!

Happy posting!

I owe several people serious thanks for making NEST 2007 survivable for me. :-)

TklDuo-Ann put some real effort into screening me, and making sure that the club would not have a problem with my use of a service animal.

DVNC provided reassurance many times in the months before NEST.

Kered helped with an anonymous plot and made sure Empath had something to eat, despite US Department of Agriculture regulations regarding carrying dog food across the border.

Snail Shell was invaluable! Not only was he supportive of my decision, whether I decided to attend NEST or not, he was a wonderful roommate and sponsor, introducing me to people, avoiding excluding me, and making sure that I was in one piece emotionally as well as physically before going off to play.

Tklmaestro, thanks for the pedicure . . . though I was obviously right to doubt your claim, "Don't worry about the pedicure. It's strickly a pedi." Thanks also for buying the World's Worst Pizza :-)

Empath came with me, but I still couldn't have done it without him. He also attracted the attention of the next two people. I still can't believe he fell asleep in that club environment, though. :-)

Spenser and Forest Fairy were great to meet, and not just for playtime. Their willingness to help me find a refuge when overwhelmed and support me when I was upset was unexpected and greatly appreciated!

LeeAllure, Jonmath, and ViperGTS: Thank you for your concern; I know I didn't necessarily seem to respond as one might hope, but I do appreciate your expressions of concern when I was too stressed to seem to feel better due to them.

LeeAllure, also, thanks for all the work you put into the event. I was VERY impressed with your professional approach to the entire event. Rumour had it you even managed to enjoy yourself; amazing!

Security folks and DMs at the club: Thanks for ignoring me when I desperately needed to be ignored. I am aware that you were aware of where I was, but you left me alone and I was eventually able to acclimate a bit.

TickleChgo, thanks for breakfast.

AffectionateDan and AylaNY: Thanks for the ride TO breakfast, and to the bus station. I'm sorry that you got held up in traffic on the way home; I know you were already concerned about getting home to your son.

I was happy to help this anonymous person in the covert operation mentioned and Empath needed the food. I was also glad to see you make it to NEST.
