The Good Guys held a very comfortable lead in their division, clinching the division title with two weeks to go, thus, giving them time to rest, recharge, and prepare for October, to take the step, that they had not, the previous year.
The National League Divison Series began on a Tuesday, in Paradise, against the wild card Phillies. Kate Hudson, of course, was on the mound. Kate pitched well, allowing only two runs in six innings. Paradise held a two run lead, and turned it over to the bullpen, who brought the proceedings home the rest of the way, for a 4-2 win. Gil Bellows took the ball for Game Two. The Good Guys bats were rolling that night, as they scored five runs in the opening inning, and never looked back, as Bellows didnt have to be great, in a 13-5 victory.
After an off day on Thursday, the teams met in Philadelphia for Game Three on Friday night. Charlize Theron was the starter. The Good Guys appeared hell bent on ending the series early, as they scored four times in the opening inning. From there, Paradise never looked back, as they got six runs overall, and won going away, 6-2, to sweep the first round.
With the Phillies having been disposed of in rapid fashion, the Good Guys had four days to rest before the opening of the National League Championship Series, against the Mets. Sniderman was able to prepare his pitching rotation, to have his best starters going in the first games.
On Tuesday night, the Good Guys and Mets opened the NLCS. Kate Hudson, on full rest, was the starter. Kate was far from great, but she was good enough, allowing only one run in her six innings of work. Paradise broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth, with three runs, and then the bullpen took over, giving up only one run, but securing a 4-2 win, to draw first blood in the series. Gil Bellows pitched Game Two. He struggled, allowing nine hits and three runs in seven innings. The game was tied, 3-3 in the seventh, when the Good Guys pushed across the go ahead run. Amanda Bynes and Hilary Duff took over, to slam the door, and finish off a 4-3 triumph, that put the Good Guys halfway to the World Series.
The teams flew to New York for Game Three. After an off day on Thursday, Game Three was played on Friday night, at Shea Stadium. Charlize Theron was the starting pitcher. The Mets starter allowed only one run. Charlize, pitching brilliantly, allowed nothing, no runs, and only two hits, and combined with Duff, for a 1-0 win, that put Paradise one win from returning to the World Series. Kate Hudson would go again in Game Four. Kate was again great, as she allowed only one run in seven innings. Paradise broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth, with a Mitch homer. The Good Guys were four outs from sweeping the series, when, Carlos Delgado hit an Amanda Bynes pitch, just over the wall in right field, for a 3-2 Mets lead, a lead that Met closer Billy Wagner protected in the ninth. The Mets had their first win in the series, but Paradise was still in the driver seat. Game Five was played in a steady rain, but the teams played through the raindrops. Gil Bellows was the starter for Paradise, but he was gone early. The Mets scored four times in the opening inning, and it looked like, for a while, that a return to Paradise was imminent. Then, in the eighth, off Met reliever Aaron Heilman, with the Mets leading 4-1, Mitch came up with two on, and tied the game at four all, with a mammoth three run blast. The contest went to extra innings, where, in the thirteenth, Center Fielder Ed Burns hit a solo homer, to give Paradise another lead. This time, Hilary Duff tried to finish the Mets, but, with a man on, and Paradise but one strike away from victory, Carlos Beltran delivered a long blast to left field, to send the series back to Paradise. The Good Guys, after holding a three game to none lead, would now have to try and finish the Mets, on their home field.
After an off day, Game Six was played on Tuesday night in Paradise. Charlize Theron was the starter. The Good Guys looked like they wanted an early party, as they scored five runs in the first inning. The explosive Mets offense, however, kept chipping away, until they narrowed the gap, tied the game, and took the lead, before the Good Guys fought back to tie the score. Finally, the game went to extra innings, where, tied 8-8 in the tenth, with the bases loaded, second baseman Russell hit a shallow single into center field, to bring the winning run home, and send Paradise to the World Series. Games Four Through Six had been nail biters, and now, one more step loomed, with only one acceptable outcome.
The Good Guys again had several days to rest, before facing the Yankees, in the World Series, with home field advantage, on Saturday night. Kate Hudson, of course, was the starter, facing the Yankees Chin Min Wang. The Good Guys grabbed a 3-0 lead off Wang early, on an Ed Burns homer. Paradise protected that lead. A 3-0 lead became 3-1, before Hilary Duff finished the proceedings, by striking out A rod with two men on, to finish off the victory. Gil Bellows had the ball for Game Two. That night, the teams went back and forth, with the Yankees scoring, and the Good Guys coming back, on three different occasions. Finally, in the eighth, with the score tied, Mitch came up, and bashed a long homer, off Yankee reliever Kyle Farnsworth, to give Paradise the lead. Hilary Duff again did her thing in the ninth, getting the final out, with men on base, to perserve the 4-3 win.
After an off day on Monday, the teams flew to New York for Game Three on Tuesday night. The Yankees, down, were facing Charlize Theron, who had pitched a masterful game in Game Three of the NLCS, across the river at Shea. This time, Charlize was nearly as good, allowing only one run in six innings. The game was tied, 1-1 in the seventh, when Paradise erupted for four runs. In the ninth, the Yankees caused trouble, a 5-1 lead became 5-2, and then 5-3. Finally, with two men on, Naomi, of all people, got the last out, on a shallow fly ball, to finish off the save, and put the Good Guys one win from the ultimate. The Good Guys took Game Four in stride. Part of them wanted to finish the Yankees early, to grab the title, while the other half almost wouldnt have felt shattered, losing the two games, to send the series back to Paradise, so they could clinch on their own field. Ace Kate Hudson had the ball in Game Four, with the Yankees fighting for their lives. The Good Guys took a lead, but the Yankees fought back, and extended their lead. Paradise made it interesting in the ninth, but, against Mr Rivera, fell one run short, to lose, 5-4. Gil Bellows would have another shot in Game Five, to finish the Yankees in the Bronx. This time, the Yankees took an early 4-0 lead, bashing Bellows, and knocking him out, early. The Good Guys, however, would not go quietly, first tying the game, then taking the lead themselves, before the Yankees fought back to tie. Finally, in the eleventh inning, a single plated the winning run, by a 7-6 score, to send the series back to Paradise. Yes, the Good Guys had blown two chances to win the series, but, now they would have a chance to finish the Yankees at home, in their house.
After a restful off day on Friday, 60,000 fans staged a love in on a gorgeous Saturday night. Charlize Theron pitched for Paradise. If the Good Guys thought that this clincher would be easy, it turned out to be anything but. Charlize pitched six shutout innings, turning things over to Amanda Bynes, for the next two innings. In the eighth, with the score tied, and a man on, Mitch came up, and leveled off on a pitch, to right center, to give the Good Guys a 2-0 lead. The fans, smelling the title, and the Yankees blood, were going berserk. The team went to the ninth, three outs away. Hilary Duff came on, to try and finish the Yankees, and erase a year's frustration. A ground ball, was followed by a strikeout, and then a walk. Finally, with a man on, and the tying run up, the next batter hit a very long fly ball to the outfield. Ed Burns backed up, as everyone held their breath, worried it would go out, to tie the game. Burns backed all the way to the wall, with his back at the wall, reached up, and put it in his glove. He breathed a sigh of relief, and fell to the ground, the World Series was over, and the Good Guys were champions once more!
As Burns caught the ball, the crowd held its collective breath for a minute, and then, once they were sure the ball had been caught, and now knowing the World Series was over, broke out into a collective roar! Burns held the ball in his glove, and sighed, and then, Mitch ran over, the two embraced, and then embraced left fielder Dawson, as the three ran into the infield, where the entire team joined in the celebration. The team, after celebrating with each other, and getting cheers from the crowd, stood at the pitcher's mound, and collectively applauded their fans, for their support of them all year. Finally, after the on field celebration, the Good Guys retreated to the clubhouse, where the interviews were set up. Mitch was surrounded by the media. "Whew! Up 3-0 in both series, to lose Games Four and Five both times, and what happened tonight. I almost feel lucky. I am, of course, very proud. We suffered a heartbreaker last year, and had something to prove. I congratulate the Yankees. It was a good series, but, this year, we were the best." Mitch said, to a roar from his teammates. Of course, the inevitable question of "Retirement", and "What comes next". Came up. Mitch deflected that by saying. "Hmm, let's see, next. Well, dinner, a celebration, some tickling, and maybe later tonight, a severe tickling of a certain Aussie's bare feet" , to a mock frown from Naomi. "I'm just going to enjoy this" Mitch said.
The next day, at the parade, at City Hall, the tens of thousands who gathered wanted to know the million dollar question. As Mitch stood at the mike, he said "Well, this feels so good, and Naomi and I love you all so much, and appreciate your support, that, hell yeah, we will be back next year!" To a roar from the crowd.
That night, the team held it's final tickle party of the year, before scattering for the winter. The featured lee would be manager Sniderman, who always seemed to sacrifice himself, when his team won the title. He was tied in boxer shorts, hands and feet to the bed, in the middle of the fetish club, while several female doms surrounded him. One dom began the tickle on the managers neck with fingers, as his head shifted, and the laughter began:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA! Moving down, a second dom was next, tickling Sniderman on his underarms, sides, ribs, and belly with fingers, as he thrashed:HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA! Working down, a third dom took over, tickling the manager on his hips, inner thighs, and knees with fingers, as he bucked:HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Finally, two doms positioned themselves at Snidermans' feet, attacking them with fingers, feathers, and electric toothbrushes. Lee went beserk, wiggling his toes all over, and begging for mercy:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAA! OMG PLEASE NO MORE! NOO! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHA! Finally, the tickle ended, and Sniderman was untied.
So, another season of Good Guy baseball comes to an end, with our heroes bringing home the title to Paradise. Now would come the winter, and then, the start of a new year. What would happen then? That answer to come in the continuing segment of the Tickle Team From Paradise Island.

The End

That's the Good Guys, can't beat 'em no matter how hard you try. Taking down the Yankees of all teams as well. Seems like the perpetual rivals will be going at it again next season. Another great one and I look forward to the next one.

Thank you, happy, your praise, is appreciated as always. Yes, it is good to have them on top of the world as champs again.
As you know, stay tuned, a new season will be coming soon.
