One of my first sketching efforts.

This was done awhile back, but I figured I'd upload it here, since I ain't got nothing better to do. Basically, it's a sketching of a tutorial face from 'How to Draw Manga' by Katy Coope. She was 17 when she wrote that book, which is impressive.

I am working at it still, but this was a rare time I actually thought I did it well. Unfortunately, the scanner caught the whole sketchpad. Oh well... *sighs*

I hope you enjoy it... I really don't, since I've got a ways to go...

Cool, Larsen. You obviously cared enough about it to upload it, right?

Focus on the most prominent lines, and draw them in really darkly; just go for it. Then start on the next one (if you haven't already).

I generally find myself amazed at how quickly it's possible to improve at something you're new at, if you just hold your breath and do it a lot within the space of four days or so. Any feelings that make you wince at the time, always pay off if you're patient.
