Question for Myraids...

Myraids I beleive it is you who knows alot about Harmony's vids. I've recently bought alot of the early TK series(I think there great vids..classics). I was just curious if you know around what time frame(years) the first five or six came out. 'TK-4-Tickle Time' is one of my favorites. I read somewhere on this board that Julia Parton was in that vid (under the name Rachell Wells). I've always thought Julia was an attractive older woman. She was really hot in TK-4 when she was a bit younger. Anyway if you know the time frame and could answer I'd appreciate it. Thanks

I'm Thinking Early 80s

Without looking anything up, I'm guessing the first wave of Harmony tickle vids came out in the early 80s. If you want to nail it down exactly, go to the "Bedroom Bondage" site and drop a question to Lorelli. She was "Kristine Imboch" back then and she was involved in producing the early Harmony Videos. I think her free tickling write-up on her site talks about those days, but I'm not sure she mentions specific dates.

Chelsea Pfeiffer took over for her. Between the two of them, they produced the best Harmony tickle videos.

In fact, that is Julia Parton in Tk-4 in her prime. I gotta tell you that it hurts, though, to hear you describe her as an older woman when she still younger than me. Maybe that's why I can't remember exactly when TK-4 came out. That whole last century is such a blur to me now.

I believe the early TK vids came out around '93-'94. I remember ordering TK-4 off an ad in TIED AND TICKLED magazine or some such (pre-Internet days) around early '94, so I would pinpoint that time.

All due respect to the honored moriaritytk, the early '80s would have been impossible! The women (Julia, Ashley Renee, Whitney Prescott, Darla Crane, among others) would be 20 years older today and that is simply not so. Moreover, CalStar was basically the first "mass-market" tickling vid producer, and they started around '86.

A highly-recommended early Harmony is "Ticklish Snoop" (I think it was TK-10) starring Alex Jordan. There is a tragic story attached to this one; Alex was one of the hottest young porn stars around and won, I believe, the Adult Film Award for Best Newcomer in her debut year. However, as always happens, her star faded and she ultimately committed suicide (addressing her suicide note to her pet bird, I hear). She must have done this video at the beginning of the down side of her career. It's a cautionary tale of what can sometimes happen to a young woman in the adult film industry.

You're right. Lorelei's site talks about getting into bondage videos at the end of the 80s, so that would put her early Harmony tickling work at the beginning of the 90s.

I thought it was around the early ninties. Julia was in her prime then
(beautiful)...I still think she is very attractive in her later FM concepts work. I heard she was in a Cal Star vid called Count Tickula(or something like that) under another name with Witney Prescott. Has anyone scene that?Is it any good? I've thought about buying it, but would like to hear others thoughts on it. I found it online but the site selling it wanted $55 bucks for it. A little steep. I heard Julia was writing a book sometime ago about her career, that would be an interesting read.

I do have 'Ticklish Snoop'. I think it's a good tickle vid. That's sad about Alex, she was an attractive woman. I didn't know she commited suicide(I wondered why she wasn't in anymore harmony vids). It seems that the adult industry can be a harsh place for those who work in it. I've heard several tragic stories about adult film stars.

moriaritytk, your always as young as you feel, don't pay attention to numbers.

Julia was in "Count Tickula" (actually called TIED & TICKLED #14) under the name of June Bauer. Though many pan CalStar, I thought their early videos were quite good despite the goofy "monster" themes and other silliness. Perhaps they thought that tickling was so "out of the box" that they had to "weird" it up a little. In any case, I recommend it, but $55 is a bit steep. Unfortunately, my copy was wrecked by an old broken-down VCR, but fortunately the Julia/June scenes are intact. I still pull it out on occassion and bask in fond memories of seeing it for the first time.

Interestingly the earliest Harmony TK videos lack copyright info on the vids. So pinning the exact dates from the tapes is hard.

A bit of searching of the net archives turns up info though.

The classic phase of Harmony's videos ran from late '92 to mid '96. With the biggest clump of them starting to arriving in mid '94 (Tk-4 up) and running through '97 (Stop I'm Ticklish and Tickled Secrataries)

$55 Is Too Much

"Count Tickula" is an interesting novelty piece but hardly worth $55 today with so much quality material to buy. Julia is fine and Whitney looks quite innocent in her pre-silicone days. Actually, I thought the third model (forget her name) put on the best tickling reactions.

The problem is that the goofy monster character was more interested in hamming up up for the camera than in tickling so he rarely got any good licks in.

The third model was named Renee Morgan. She also appeared in T&T #13 "Julius Teaser." Damn, I'm good! I should be an archivist!
