How good is your self-control for laughing?

Like, how long are you able to be tickled on your worst spot and be able to stifle and/or minimize your laughs?

I can't say I've ever truly been brought to involuntary laughter through tickling, but if I voluntarily start giggling, then I find it hard to stop. Does anyone else have this?

As hard as I tried there's no way I can keep myself from laughing if it tickles. Even if it tickles just a little, I'll laugh a little. If it tickles a lot, then I'll laugh A LOT :manicd:

I have a ler at the office. I work nights but sometimes so do one or two of the other guys. Last night for example, she came by and tickled me silly while one of my pals was in the next cube. I've learned to laugh quietly. :D

I have tried to stifle my laughs when tickled purely out of stubborness :angel: lol, but, the problem I have is that I'm known, in everyday life for smiling or laughing a lot so its natural for me to giggle. I also find it hard to stop when I'm on a roll, I end up snorting and trying to take deep breaths whilst trying to compose myself as my mascara ends up on my cheeks haha.

Even if it tickles just a little, I can barely hold my laughter for more than a second...and that's ONLY if it tickles just a little. If someone's really trying to tickle me, no way possible for me to keep from laughing.

I have had a few instances where I didn't want to let go immediately.
If I'm receiving gentle tickles, in a place that isn't one of my deadly spots, I find I can control my giggles for a short period of time.
However, if a ler goes directly to a place that HE wants, I don't really have any resistance.
Bondage tends to bring out my giggles much faster with someone who is familiar with my body.

Well now, this leads me to my next question:

Do you personally believe that a person who has good laugh control is generally less ticklish than a person who has bad tolerance for holding in laughs?

I personally don't think this. I believe that the control over a laugh and the ticklishness are completely separate. What about all of you?

This is sooooo me! If I dont want to be tickled ( bad mood, not in the mood, etc) then I wont react. Period. But if I do, then you have to really want to make me laugh.:bouncybou

man, ive tried so hard to hold in my laughs but it NEVER works!!! even the lightest touch, i giggle and squirm!!! and even if im in a bad mood or whatever, tickling ALWAYS makes me laugh!

If the right person gets me in the right place there is no way I can not not laugh.

Several of the girls that I have tickled also seem to have a spot (or multiple spots) where they are so ticklish that they automatically break down into spasmodic laughter when tickled in those places.

I'd say the majority of the girls that I have tickled can't help but laugh when they are tickled. I do realize that they could have been faking but their laughter and reactions do appear genuine.

I see ticklishness and resolve as two different things.

Someone can be really ticklish but have an amazing self control. The responce is the same, giggly torture that is forcing it's way out, just one is able to hold it in more.

Same as someone conditioned for more, traditional torture. The pain isn't any less severe, but one is able to withstand it's effects, or keep their mind clear.

...though with any forced manipulation of the senses, everyone breaks at some point. Resolve can only last so long...:devil2:

I'm pretty ticklish myself, but I haven't been tickled to laughter since I was a kid. :) People think if they find a spot and you don't laugh immediately you aren't ticklish there. More experienced ticklers know better of course but... sigh.

People generally are under the impression that I'm not ticklish, because when they poke me out of playfulness I generally don't react (aside from rolling my eyes or something else that doesn't count). I'm pretty good at controlling myself... I learned to do that at a fairly young age, for various reasons.

But it doesn't matter all that much since I'm happier tickling other people anyway. :D

generally I can't, tho i do have a few spots where i can hold my laughter in, on the flip side there are a few spots that will have me laughing before I'm even touched, so I guess I balance out nicely :D

Last night when my wife was tickling my feet, it began to get very intense... and i was covering my one foot with the other, and laughing crazily, i finally sat up and was defending my feet with my hands, as she zeroed in on my hot-spots!
Finally, since I was topping from the bottom, I asked her to continue tickling my kill-zones and no matter how many times i said to stop- DON'T! She complied with this and it was amazing; I was hunched over laughing into the pillow, twitching my feet, saying "Please Stop! please Stop!" trying to cover my kill zones on the right in-step and just below and beside the big toe under-ball of the left sole, a seriously ticklish spot for me!!
It was the first time since I was a kid that I was tickle-tortured and laughed like that, just from my feet, it made my night.

I think i am reaching my goal of becoming ticklish to the tenth power!

I would defenetely go into the cathegory of SAM.

Against most ticklers I can pretty much hold it in for as long as I want. With the problem that once I am able to hold in, if the tickler doesn´t do something radicaly different, then it´s impossible to tickle me.

So only really skilful lers will be able to brake me.

Aditionaly...there´s some funny thing going on with some girls. There are some girls with whom my mind control simply doesn´t work....never understood why! this is rare but I currently have 2 female friends who can tickle me whenever they want to the complete wonder of all other friends who are unable to do it :p

Once I´m broken, I am quite ticklish, it´s not just a little lol
