The Good Guys finished the regular season in fine fashion, earning home field advantage for the first two rounds of the playoffs.
The National League Division Series opened on a Tuesday in Paradise, against the wild card Mets. Kate Hudson was on the mound, and pitched brilliantly, striking out nine, in a 1-0 shutout. Gil Bellows pitched Game Two He gave a quality start, allowing three runs in six innings, as the Good Guys got a run here, and a run there, to come away with a 5-3 win, to take a two game to none lead.
After an off day Thursday, the teams met at Shea Stadium in New York on Friday night. Charlize Theron pitched, and got hit hard, allowing five runs. The Good Guys were not able to recover, and lost, 6-2. Kate Hudson had the ball again in Game Four. She allowed only one run, but it was enough for the Mets, as they squeaked by, 1-0, to send the series back to Paradise, for a deciding Game Five.
Gil Bellows would pitch Game Five for Paradise. This was unfamilar territory to the Good Guys, who usually did not have to take the opening series to the deciding game. Bellows gave up two runs, and the Good Guys scratched back to the score. In the eighth, a suicide squeeze brought home the go ahead run. Hayden gave up hits in the ninth, but got out of trouble, for a 3-2 Good Guy win, to send them to the National League Championship series, against the Phillies on Tuesday night.

Charlize allowed only one run in seven innings, but once again one was the lonliest number for Paradise, as they dropped their second 1-0 decision in three games. With his offense struggling, and needing a win, manager Elmont Koehler juggled his lineup in Game Two. The changes worked, as the Good Guys scored thirteen runs, and never looked back, in a 13-5 laugher.

Although the Good Guys would have to win two games to go to the World Series, the team felt positive about their chances, because of the two home games. Kate Hudson pitched in Game Six. She was magnificent, allowing two hits, and one run, in seven innings. The Good Guys fought back from a 1-0 deficit, to score three runs, and walk away with a 3-1 win, to tie the series at three games all. Gil Bellows would pitch Game Seven. Gil pitched a fine, quality game, giving up two runs in six innings, and then watching, as his team got the lead, and hung on, with Hayden getting the final out with a runner at third, for a 3-2 Game Seven win, to give the Good Guys the National League title, and send them to the World Series, against the Yankees, beginning that Saturday night in the Bronx.
The next morning, the exhausted Good Guys had to get on a plane, to fly to JFK Airport in New York, as the Yankees would have home field advantage that year. The team worked out, and then rested a bit.
On Saturday night, Game One of the World Series was played before a racous crowd, one which wanted the Yankees to get revenge on the Good Guys, for the loss of the year before. Manager Koehler had the choice of starting either a well rested Charlize Theron, or a more fatigued, on three days rest, Kate Hudson. Koehler went with the old addage of going with your ace in Game One, so as to have Kate ready for three starts if needed. Kate did not look ready, as she got hit for four runs in the opening inning, getting the crowd into the game. The Good Guys did not get anything started, and lost, 5-0. It was an omimnous start to the Fall Classic, but there were still many chances left. Gil Bellows pitched Game Two, but fortunes did not improve for the Good Guys, as Gil got hammered for six runs in five innings, and the Yankees did not look back, winning 6-1, to take a two game to none lead.
While the Good Guys felt badly about their performance in New York, they also looked forward to returning to warm Paradise Island, where they were sure their own boisterous fans would give the Yankees an earful.

She kept the Good Guys in the game, and left, with a 3-3 tie after six innings. In the seventh, the roof caved in, as Naomi, Amanda Bynes, and Hilary Duff allowed the Yankees five runs, as the pitchers concerned were all serenaded with a chorus of boos. The final score was 8-4 Yankees. The Good Guys were facing elimination, with a loss in Game Four, and, if they were to go down, they at least wanted to do so with pride. Kate Hudson pitched Game Four. She gave up three runs in six innings, a quality start. The Good Guys, however, went inning after inning with no runs. In the ninth, with Mariano Rivera on the mound, Mitch struck out, to end a humiliating World Series for the Good Guys, with a 3-0 loss, and a four game sweep by the Yankees. Both the crowd and the team were stunned. The team usually played the Yankees, much, much tougher. The games just completed looked like little league competition. The Paradise Islanders, after going twelve long, exhausting games with the Phillies and Mets, probably had just run into a wall in the World Series. They knew they had a mountain to climb going in, not having the home field advantage, and now, they faced the long winter, with their heads hanging in shame.
The media closed in, and the team knew they had to make statements : "I thank the fans for their support this year, and I apologize for our performance in the Series. What can I say? They played great, we were terrible, bottom line. Losing four in a row is very difficult, but if the games had been closer, I could have better accepted it. We all have a lot of soul searching to do. Hopefully, we will shake this off, and come back next year, to fight again, and bring home a win in the Series" Mitch said, speaking for the embarrassed Good Guy team.
In the meantime, the team held its final tickle party of the year, before scattering for the winter. The featured lee would be redheaded actress Amy Adams, currently starring in the anamated movie," Enchanted". Amy was tied hands and feet to the bed, in the middle of the fetish club, in a bra, and panties. Center Fielder Burns began the tickle on Amy's neck with fingers, as she moved her head, and the giggles began:HEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEE!
