The Good Guys finished the regular season in fine fashion, making the playoffs with ease. Now came the dramatic big ball of October, with only one acceptable outcome in mind.

The National League Division Series began on a Tuesday, in Paradise, against the Phillies. Kate Hudson, of course, got the ball in Game One. Kate was great, allowing two runs in six innings, as Paradise broke a 2-2 tie, with two runs, for a 4-2 win, to draw first blood. Game Two was no contest, as the Good Guys wrapped out sixteen hits, for a 13-5 victory, to take control of the series.

The teams flew to Philadelphia, where, after an off day Thursday, they played Game Three at Citizens Bank Park on Friday night. Charlize Theron was the hurler. She pitched well, but got no run support, as the Good Guys were shut out, 2-0. Kate Hudson was back for Game Four, a game that was over early, as Paradise knocked on the door for five runs in the first inning, and cruised to a 5-1 triumph, that coasted them into the National League Championship Series, against the Mets, on Tuesday night in Paradise.

The Good Guys flew back to Paradise, where they had a workout day, and a rest day, before opening the NLCS against the Mets on Tuesday night.
Gil Bellows was the Game One starter. Gil allowed three runs in six innings, but Paradise rallied from a 3-2 deficit, to score three in the sixth, as the bullpen did the rest, in what would be a 5-3 win. Charlize Theron pitched Game Two, and shut down the powerful Met attack, firing shutout ball into the eighth inning, in an eventual 1-0 Good Guy victory.

The teams flew to New York, and worked out on Thursday, and then played Game Three at Shea Stadium on Friday night. Kate Hudson was the starter. She allowed but one run, a homer, but it was enough to beat the Good Guys, as they got shut down, for a 1-0 Mets win, that put New York in the win column for the first time. Gil Bellows pitched Game Four. After the Mets took a 3-0 lead, Paradise stormed back to first tie the score, then take the lead. A 6-3 Good Guy lead in the ninth became 6-4, and finally 6-5, before Kate Heigl put out the Mets lights, to put Paradise one win from the World Series, with a 6-5 winning decision. Charlize had a chance to finish the Mets in Game Five, but it was not to be. This time, the Mets jumped on her for six runs. The Good Guys tried to fight back, but fell one run short, losing 7-6, to send the series back to Paradise.

After an off day Monday, nearly 60,000 fans showed up on Tuesday, to watch the Good Guys hopefully finish the Mets. Kate Hudson had the task. After allowing a first inning run, Kate gave up nothing,. pitching seven gritty innings. The game was tied, 1-1, before the Good Guys scored two runs in the eighth. In the ninth, Katie Heigl, and Hayden, put the Mets away, to send the Good Guys to another World Series, against their good friends, the Yankees, beginning this time in Paradise, on the upcoming Saturday night.

After rest days, and a workout day, the World Series began on that Saturday night, in front of 60,000 screaming fans, on a beautiful evening. Kate Hudson had the Game One start. Kate allowed only two runs in seven innings, as the Good Guys broke a tie with a suicide squeeze, to bring home a run. The bullpen put the clamps on the Yankees in the ninth, for a 4-2 opening game win. Game Two matched Gil Bellows against Andy Pettite. Pettite got racked around, for three Good Guy homers, while Bellows was great, allowing but two runs into the eighth. The bullpen carried the Good Guys to the ninth. Paradise was three outs from taking control of the series, when disaster struck. An error, a bloop hit, and a homer gave the Yankees the lead. Mariano Rivera put the Good Guys down in the ninth, and, instead of Paradise boarding the plane to New York halfway to the promised land, the series was now tied, with three straight nights of racous crowds in the Bronx awaiting the Paradise Islanders.

The teams worked out on Monday, and played Game Three at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night. Charlize Theron was the starter. She didnt pitch badly, allowing two runs, but the Yankees were better, giving up just one, for a 2-1 Yankee win, to take the series lead. Kate Hudson took the mound for Game Four, in what seemed like a must win game for Paradise. Hudson pitched well, allowing two runs in eight innings, but again, a big play, and an eighth inning hit, gave the Yankees the lead. Rivera put the Good Guys down in the ninth again, and suddenly, the Good Guys were facing elimination, with the 3-2 Yankee triumph. A delirious crowd showed up at Yankee Stadium on Thursday night, with intent of celebrating a Yankee title. The Good Guys scored a run early. Then, inning after inning went by, with no runs for either team. In the ninth, manager Koehler, with GM Sniderman by his side in the dugout, used Hayden, and Katie Hiegl, to get the final outs, and, in a classic gut check, the Good Guys survived in Game Five, and sent the series back to Paradise, with a 1-0 decision. The team had little to say in the interviews, knowing they had dodged a bullet, and knowing they had to dodge two more, on their home field, one by one, for a happy ending.

The teams worked out on Friday, and then played Game Six, on a very mild Saturday evening. Charlize Theron was the one assigned the task to get the Good Guys to a Game Seven. Charlize was magnificent, allowing two hits, and one run, in six innings, as the Good Guys broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth, with two runs, for a 3-1 win, to tie the series at three games all. Now, the teams would play for all the marbles on Sunday night, in World Series, Game Seven. As Naomi once said "That was all there is, there isnt any more". There were no more baseball games that season, this one was for everything. The sellout crowd of over 60,000 was rooting their heroes on. The Good Guys drew first blood early with one run, and then another. The game was 2-0 into the seventh, when Kate Hudson was nicked for a run, and was removed. Then, with Amanda Bynes pitching, an eighth inning error by second baseman Russell, allowed the Yankees to tie the score. Paradise needed to keep the tie, or Mr Rivera would come in, and it would be over, with a Yankee win, and heartbreak for the Good Guys, on their home field, in Game Seven. The Good Guys also needed to get a lead in the eighth, or they still might see him. In the eighth, a base hit, and a Yankee error, set things up. Then, a suicide squeeze brought home the go ahead run for Paradise. The score was 3-2 Paradise, ninth inning. Hayden pitching, with a chance for everything. Hayden went to the mound, and got a weak pop up, and then a strikeout. The next Yankee batter, Derek Jeter, was up. Hayden delivered, and Jeter hit a fly ball to deep center. It was hit very high, but not home run distance. Ed Burns lined it up, caught it in his glove, then took a deep breath. The World Series was over, with a 3-2 Good Guy win in Game Seven. The Good Guys had won the series, four games to three, and had rallied from a three game to one deficit. This World Title for Paradise was oh so hard fought, but oh, so so sweet!

After Burns caught the ball, he took a couple of steps back with the ball in his glove, his back to the wall, and clutched the ball, tears in his eyes, as the delirous crowd was silent for a moment, to be sure he had caught the ball, and then, the sellout gathering erupted in screams of joy! Mitch ran over, and hugged Ed Burns. Left Fielder Dawson joined the gathering in the outfield, as the three outfielders embraced each other, and gathered in a circle hug, weeping openly, from joy, satisfaction, and relief. Unlike some other Good Guy World Series winning celebrations, this one came to them by the skin of their teeth. They had to survive Game Five in the Bronx, and rally from a three game to one deficit, but now, they were again on top of the mountain, looking down.

The three outfielders ran to the infield, where the team was celebrating. A pile on occurred at the mound, with hugs and feelings of joy, euphoria, and release. After the team celebrated amongst themselves, they looked into the sellout crowd, and raised their hats and their fists in celebration, appreciation, and triumph. The crowd was screaming, rewarding the team with waves of everlasting appreciation. Slowly, the team made its way to the clubhouse, for the celebration. After the trophy was presented, the media closed in. "I'll be honest, we had our work cut out for us, after going down three games to one. This team played with the heart of a lion. Facing elimination, three straight nights, we came through, and now, comes the reward, and oh how sweet it is!" Mitch said.

As was tradition after a championship, the team retired to dinner, a club, and the casino, until sunrise hours on Monday, before needing to appear at the Monday noon parade. At the parade, everyone was dressed in formal attire, as a crowd of hundreds of thousands heard the team, and manager, and general manager, give speeches of appreciation. At the parade, Mitch announced "This title was so fun, that I want to announce that Naomi and I will be back to defend this next year" to a roar from the huge gathering.

The team held one final tickle party, on Monday night, before retiring for the winter. the featured lee would be Robyn, a pretty hairstylist who was in her 40s, tall and slender, who had hair of different shades of blonde, both light and dark. She was tied hands and feet to the bed, in a bra, and panties in the middle of the fetish club. Pitcher Gil Bellows began the tickle on Robyns neck with fingers, as her head shifted, and the laughter began:HEEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! Working down, second baseman Russell was next, tickling Robyn on her underarms, sides, ribs, and belly , counting her ribs, as she thrashed:HEHHEHEHEHEHEHHEEHEHHEEHEHHEHEHEHEHEE! Moving down, left fielder Dawson was the next ler, attacking Robyn on her hips, inner thighs, and knees with fingers, causing her legs to buck:HEHHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHE! Finally, Mitch positioned himself at Robyn's feet, and tickled them with fingers, feathers, and electric toothbrushes over her bare soles and toes. Robyn went beserk, wiggling her toes every which way, and screaming with laughter:HEHHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHHEEHHE! OMG PLEASE NO MORE! I GIVE UP ALREADY! NOOOOO PLEASE MY FEET ARE SOOO TICKLISH NOOOOO! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEEHE! Finally, the tickle ended, and Robyn was untied.

So, it had been a brutally hard fought World Series, that ended in triumph for the Good Guys. Now came the restful winter. What would happen next? That answer to come when the team returned the next year to defend their title. The World Champion Tickle Team From Paradise Island.

Well now that the Good Guys are back at the top perhaps the real challenge begins, can they cope with the winter. Another great one and I look forward to the next one and next season.

HappyD

Thank you, happy, your praise is appreciated as always. The team had a happy ending to the year, even if it was pure hell getting to their goal.

As you know, stay tuned, there will be more to come soon, tomorrow.

Mitch
