The Good Guys embarked on their next road trip. They had a winning trip. The team started by winning two of three in Washington, before losing two of three in Philadelphia, and then winning two of three in Cincinatti. They returned home, on a Sunday night, to begin a nine game homestand, as the regular season was winding down.

While the team was away on the trip, Mitch and Naomi had several long chats on the computer. Naomi told Mitch that the whole "Stupid" incident had been a serious misunderstanding, and, that due to being upset, her words had been jumbled and came out wrong. Naomi finally had the opportunity to put forth to Mitch what it was that she really meant, which was that he was intelligent, but sometimes behaved as if he had little emotional intelligence, which was a quality that even some brilliant people lacked. After a lengthy heart to heart talk, the couple appeared to settle their issues, and looked forward to a positive homestand.

Mitch arrived home on Sunday night, and proceeded with Naomi to the hotel, where they met Cathy, and had playtime. "We talked a great deal while I was away, and hopefully settled some things. I have a feeling this will be a much better homestand than the last one" Mitch said.

The next night, the Good Guys opened their nine game homestand against Mitch's favorite opponent, the Mets. Kate Hudson opposed Mets ace Johan Santana. Johan was good, as usual, but he allowed three solo homers, to Mitch, Ed Burns, and left fielder Dawson. Kate, meanwhile, was brilliant, shutting down the volcanic Met offense on five hits, to come away with a 3-0
complete game shutout. Gil Bellows pitched on Tuesday night. The Mets hit three homers off him, but they were all solo shots. In the meantime, the Good Guys rocked Mets starter John Maine, for six runs in five innings, in what would be a 6-3 win. Charlize Theron took the ball on Wednesday night. She got hammered, allowing seven runs in five innings, as the Good Guys could not rally, in what was a 7-4 loss.

Thursday was an off day. That day, in therapy, Mitch discussed the misunderstanding of the previous homestand. "We wasted a whole homestand because of a miscommunciation. Hopefully that has been cleared up. Things with Cathy seem better, and Naomi and I are sleeping together, so we are in much better shape then we were two weeks ago." Mitch said.

Atlanta came to town on Friday night. Neve Campbell had the ball. She got hit hard, allowing five runs in six innings. The Good Guys, though, rallied from a 5-2 deficit in the eighth to tie the score, and finally won the game in the bottom of the ninth, on a single, for a 6-5 opening game victory. Rachel Leigh Cook got blasted for nine runs on Saturday night, as the team lost
9-5. Kate Hudson opposed the Braves John Smoltz, on a sunny, breezy, 87 degree Paradise Island Sunday afternoon, in front of a sellout. Strikeouts were the order of the day, as Smoltz struck out a dozen Good Guys in eight innings, including Mitch four times, and Kate fanned fifteen Braves in eight frames. After Mitch struck out for a fifth time in the ninth inning, earning him a round of catcalls and boos, Ed Burns turned the boos to cheers, as he took Braves reliever Manny Acosta over the right field fence, for a game winning homer, for the only run of the game, in a 1-0 Good Guy win.

Houston entered Paradise on Monday, for the final series of the homestand. Gil Bellows pitched on Monday night. He got hit around for five runs, and didnt get enough support, in a 5-3 defeat. Charlize Theron took the ball on Tuesday night. Charlize pitched a fine game, allowing but one run in seven innings, when the Good Guys broke a 1-1 tie with three runs, in an eventual 4-1 win. Neve Campbell was on the hill, on a warm, humid Wednesday afternoon, in front of a sellout. Neve pitched a gutsy game, scattering ten hits in six innings, to pitch the team to a 3-3 tie after that time. The game remained tied until the bottom of the eighth, when Center Fielder Ed Burns came up with the bases loaded, and walloped a Grand Slam homer over the left field wall. The bullpen had a bit of trouble in the ninth, but Hayden, after allowing a run, escaped a bases loaded jam, to finish off a 7-4 Paradise Island win, that completed a fine six and three homestand. Both Mitch and Naomi, and the entire team, seemed to have a bit more "bounce" in their steps during the homestand, and now, as the team prepared to head to New York on the last road trip of the season, things were looking up.

In the meantime, the team held its Saturday tickle party, following the loss to the Braves. The featured lee would be pitcher Rachel Leigh Cook, who was the chosen victim of the night due to the fact that the team was tired of giving away games when she pitched. Rachel was tied in a bra and panties hands and feet to the bed, in the middle of the fetish club. Second baseman Russell began the tickle on Rachel's neck with fingers, as her head shifted, and the giggles began:HEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEEE! Working down, Center Fielder Burns was next, tickling Rachel on her underarms, sides, ribs, and belly with fingers, as she thrashed, and squealed:HEHEHHEHEHEHEHHHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEE! Moving down, pitcher Gil Bellows was the next ler, attacking Rachel on her hips, inner thighs, and knees, causing her knees to buck:HEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! Finally, Mitch positioned himself at Rachel's bare feet, and tickled them with fingers, feathers, and electric toothbrushes. Rachel went beserk, wiggling her toes every which way, and squealing with girlish laughter:HEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEEHEHEHE! OMFG, PLEASE NO MORE! ILL DO MY BEST TO PITCH BETTER! I CANT STAND THIS! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! HEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHHEEHHEHEHE! Finally, the tickle ended, and the extremely ticklish Ms Cook was untied.

On Thursday evening, Naomi drove Mitch to Nassau International, so that he could catch the flight to JFK Airport in New York. "Good homestand this time, much better than last time. Go off, play well on this last trip, and then you'll be home, and let's get ready for the playoffs." Naomi said, kissing him goodbye.

So, it had been a much more tranquil homestand. Now came the last road trip of the season, and then the big October would arrive. What would happen then? Those answers to come in the continuing story of the Tickle Team From Paradise Island.

The End

Well I am glad to see that Naomi and Mitch are back on good terms. Sometimes it is helpful to fully explain and explore the issues that cause so much tension. Hopefully this will last longer than previously. Another great one and I look forward to the next one.

HappyD

Thank you, happy, your praise is appreciated as always. Yes, hopefully with them having explored the issues, the calmness can remain.

The playoffs are coming, so stay tuned, there will be more to come soon, likely on Friday.

Mitch
