The Good Guys had a quiet and uneventful winter following their setback in the World Series. Each member of the team arrived at a quick contract resolution, to play another season.

After a mediocre spring training, the team was set to open it's season. The weather in Paradise, usually perfect in April when the team started play, was behaving more like summertime. Opening day, against the Mets, was hazy, humid, and relatively hot, with only limited sun, black clouds off in the distance, and rumbles of thunder being heard. Nontheless, the thunderstorms stayed away from the ballpark, and the team did get the game in. Kate Hudson was not at her best, giving up nine hits, while striking out nine, and walking seven. Kate had a very high pitch count, when she was removed after six innings, having given up three runs. The team could not recover, and fell short on opening day, by a 3-2 score. The black clouds turned to grey overcast the next day, and the weather cooled off dramatically, as Gil Bellows toed the rubber on a very cool afternoon, for opening day two. Bellows was very good, allowing only one run in six innings. The game was tied, 1-1 in the eighth, when Ed Burns hit a homer. Hayden put the Mets down in the ninth, and the Good Guys had a 2-1 win. Charlize Theron took the ball for the season's third game. Charlize kept the team in the game, allowing three runs in six innings of work. The game was tied, 3-3, into the bottom of the eighth, when the Good Guys pushed two runs across. Hayden again did her thing in the ninth, and the Good Guys beat the Mets, 5-3.

Thursday was an off day. That day, Mitch and Naomi attended counesling. The couple had been having a few problems in the winter, that carried over into the regular season. They also spent time with their other partner, Cathy, as the relationship was still going strong, over the winter, and into the current season.

Atlanta came to town on Friday night, for the first night game of the season. Neve Campbell was the starter. Neve gave up three runs in five innings, and the Good Guys trailed 3-2, until the bottom of the eighth, when two homers gave them four runs, and a 6-3 victory. Rachel Leigh Cook got roughed up by the Braves on Saturday night, allowing six tallies, for a 6-2 loss. Kate Hudson opposed John Smoltz, as the weather cleared and cooled off on Sunday. Hudson and Smoltz took the hill on a perfect 78 degree day for baseball, with a cool breeze, and unlimited sunshine, in front of a sellout. The Good Guys got to Smoltz early, as he allowed a long three run homer to Mitch in the second inning. Kate, meanwhile, allowed little if anything to the Braves. The game was still 3-0 in the ninth, when Elmont Koehler, over the objections of the 50,000 fans in the stands, removed Kate, and brought on Hayden to finish the game. Hayden did her job, gaining her third save, in a 3-0 Good Guys triumph.

Houston entered Paradise on Monday, for the final series of the homestand. Gil Bellows, so good on opening day two, did not have his prime pitches that outing, as he allowed four runs early, for a 4-2 loss. Charlize Theron had the ball on Tuesday night. Charlize was fantastic, giving up but one run in seven innings, and striking out eight. The Good Guys broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth, with two runs, and came away with a 3-1 win. Neve Campbell took the mound, as the humid weather returned to Paradise on Wednesday. The game was announced as a sellout, but there were actually only about 40,000 fans present, in the 50,000 seat park, due to the heat. Neve pitched a gritty game, throwing 115 pitches, and giving up three runs until the seventh. The Good Guys trailed 3-2 in the eighth, when Ed Burns came up with a man on, and launched a tremendous homer into the right field bullpen, to give the Good Guys the lead. Hayden had a bit of trouble in the ninth, but got out of it, and the Good Guys would finish their first homestand in fine fashion, with a 4-3 win, to complete a solid six and three first homestand. The team was not yet clicking on all cylinders pitching and hitting wise, but, when Elmont, and GM Lee Sniderman, were asked to sum up the team's play on the first homestand, in Wednesdays postgame meetings with the media, they said. "This team isnt playing up to its best, and we are six and three. What else needs to be said? If we play like this all year, we will win a lot of ballgames".

In the meantime, the team held its Saturday tickle party, following the loss to the Braves. The featured lee would be a beautiful well known model in the fetish community, Selma. The blonde beauty was tied hands and feet to the bed, in a bra and panties, in the middle of the fetish club. Center Fielder Burns began the tickle on Selma's neck with fingers, as her head shifted, and the giggles began:HEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEE! Moving down, pitcher Gil Bellows was next, attacking Selma on her underarms, sides, ribs, and belly with fingers, counting her ribs:HEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEEHEHEE! Left Fielder Dawson joined in, attacking Selma on her hips, inner thighs, and knees with fingers, as she bucked her legs:HEHEHHEEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEEHE! Finally, Mitch positioned himself at Selma's feet, and tickled them with his fingers, two feathers, an electric toothbrush, and ice. Selma went beserk, wiggling her toes every which way, and squealing and screaming with laughter:HEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEE! OMG PLEASE NO MORE! I GIVE UP! FEET SOOO SENSITIVE AND TICKLISH! NOOOOOOOOO! HEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! Finally, the tickle ended, and Selma was untied.

On Thursday night, Naomi drove Mitch to Nassau International, so that he could catch the team flight to JFK Airport in New York City. "Good first homestand. See if you guys can carry it through to the road. Play well, and I'll see you next Sunday night" Naomi said, kissing him goodbye.

So, it had been a productive first homestand. Now came ten days on the road. What would happen then? That answer to come in the continuing story of the Tickle Team From Paradise Island.

The End

Well it is good to have Good Guy ball back in action in Paradise and to see them winning, just as it should be. Another great one and I look forward to the next one.

HappyD

Thank you, happy, your praise is appreciated as always. Yes, it is nice for the team to be winning.

As you know, stay tuned, there will be more to come soon.

Mitch
