The Good Guys embarked on their first road trip of the year. It did not go well, as they dropped two of three games at each stop of their New York, Atlanta, and Houston road trip, and finished with a record of three wins, and six losses. They returned home, on a Sunday night, to begin a nine game homestand, their second of the year.

While Mitch was away on the trip, he didn't have much contact with Naomi, as she busied herself with social gatherings every night. Although the couple made love when Mitch arrived home, he had a strange, distant feeling from his wife.

On Monday night, the Good Guys opened their homestand with a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The team took the field with the mindset that they badly wanted a win, to get the homestand off to a good start. To this end, Ed Burns helped in that cause, by slamming a three run first inning homer, that erased Kate Hudson's jitters. From there, Hudson cruised along, as the Good Guys got another run. Kate breezed until the ninth inning, with ten strikeouts, when she got tired, and had to be removed. Hayden took over for her, and finished off the Pirates, and the Good Guys had a much needed 4-1 win. The next night, Gil Bellows started. Paradise gave him support early, by erupting for five runs in the first inning. Bellows pitched well until the eighth, when the bullpen took over, and brought home a 6-2 triumph. Charlize Theron allowed only one run in six innings on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, the Good Guys did not hit that evening, and lost, 1-0. Still, two out of three wasnt bad, and the team hoped to set the tone for a good homestand.

Thursday was an off day. Mitch and Naomi attended counesling that day. They were sleeping together, and there were no major problems, but yet there was a strange distance between them, that neither of them could quite explain.

Chicago came to town on Friday night. Neve Campbell was the starter. She gave up three runs in six innings. The Good Guys could not get any runs until the eighth, when they suddenly exploded for seven runs in the bottom of that inning. The bullpen had some trouble in the ninth, giving up a run, and allowing the Cubs to load the bases, until Hayden finally finished the 7-4 victory. Rachel Leigh Cook had one of the best outings of her career on Saturday night. She was winning 1-0, and was striking out a lot of hitters, when in the eighth inning, an error, and a home run, caused her to come unglued, and ended up resulting in a 2-1 defeat. Kate Hudson took the mound, on a sunny, dry, 87 degree Paradise Sunday, in front of a sellout. Kate pitched a wonderful game, allowing two runs in eight innings, while striking out nine. The Good Guys broke a 2-2 tie in the eighth, as Mitch came up with two men on, and pummeled a long homer. Hayden took over for the last inning, and completed the Good Guys 5-2 win.

St Louis entered Paradise on Monday, for the homestand's final series. Gil Bellows had the ball on Monday night. Gil was winning 2-0 until the seventh, when he allowed a cheap hit, was victimized by an error, and then allowed a long homer, the last of which would result in a 3-2 Good Guy loss. Charlize Theron pitched on Tuesday night. Charlize, after giving up only one run in her previous outing, felt like she needed to pitch a shutout to win. Such was not the case on that evening, as the Good Guys exploded for four runs in the first inning. Charlize gave up three runs in six innings. The bullpen didnt have much to work with, but Naomi, Bynes, Duff, Heigl, and finally Hayden, were able to worm their way through the powerful Cards lineup, to successfully finish the Good Guys 4-3 victory. Neve Campbell took the mound, on a sunny, warm, 88 degree Paradise Wednesday afternoon, in front of the usual getaway day matinee sellout. Neve pitched a very fine game, giving up only one run in six innings, with nine strikeouts. The Good Guys were tied, 1-1 in the eighth, when Ed Burns arrived at the plate with the bases loaded, and crushed a Grand Slam homer. Again the bullpen had trouble in the ninth, allowing two runs, and allowing the Cards to load the bases. Finally, Hayden got the out she needed, and the Good Guys had a 5-3 win, that completed a six and three homestand. The team had to work hard to achieve their goal of six wins, but, as they prepared to head to Pittsburgh, their record looked good.

In the meantime, the team held its Saturday tickle party, following the loss to the Cubs. The featured lee would be pitcher Neve Campbell, for the simple reason that it seemed she was the one female member of the team, who seemed to get tickled the least at the parties, for whatever reason. Neve was tied in a black bra and panties, hands and feet to the bed, in the middle of the fetish club. Center Fielder Burns began the tickle on Neve's neck with fingers, as her head shifted, and the giggles began:HEHEHHEEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHHEEHEHEHE! Working down, left fielder Dawson was next, tickling Neve on her underarms, sides, ribs, and belly with fingers, as Neve shrieked:HEHEEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! OMG NOOOOOOO! Moving down, third baseman Michael was the next ler, attacking Neve on her hips, inner thighs, and knees, causing her legs to buck:HHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEEHHEHEHEHEHEHEE! Finally, Mitch positioned himself at Neve's feet, and tickled them with fingers, feathers, and electric toothbrushes on her bare soles and toes. Neve went beserk, wiggling her toes every which way, and screaming with laughter::HEHHEHEEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEEHEHEHHEHEE! OMG PLEASE NO MORE! I GIVE UP! NOOOOOO! HEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHE! Finally, the tickle ended, and Neve was untied.

On Thursday night, Naomi drove Mitch to Nassau International, so that he could catch the team flight to Pittsburgh: "Good homestand on field, not much happened between us. All is quiet. Play well, and I'll see you next Sunday night" Naomi said, kissing him goodbye.

So, it had been a very quiet homestand for the couple. Now came a ten day road trip. What would happen next? That answer to come in the continuing story of the Tickle Team From Paradise Island.

The End

Well it is always good to see the Good Guys playing well and at least Mitch and Naomi aren't having any serious problems. Another great one and I look forward to the next one.
