I want to listen to the TMF Radio, but can't even navigate through the website. My computer is pretty new, so don't understand why I'm even having problems like this.

Anyways, when I try to go to www.blogtalkradio.com, I get this eternal page that says it's trying to find my timezone.....never advances any farther than that. According to my email. I actually do have a registered member name. But I can't get any farther than that.

Can anyone help? I've done everything that is on AnnieHall's troubleshooting guide and STILL can't get around the stinking website. Is there any other way I can listen to the broadcasts without registering on Blogtalk?

Try clicking on the blue TMF radio link on the TMF home page. After you get to the next page there should be a small button that says listen in. Click on that and you should be able to listen without logging in. Vista can be a bitch, can't it!

That just gets me to the main TMF page.

That just gets me to the main TMF page.

When the show starts the listen in button will appear in the box of the program you want to listen to. I sometimes have a hard time logging in and get the messege 12031. I was able to both hear and be in chat last night after fighting it for a while.

Basically, The Blogtalk website isn't letting me navigate anywhere on it. I can only get to certain pages with no problem. I can't log in, even though I have a screen name. I can't get past the login screen at all. I can get to chat from Annie's chat link, but can't chat unless I login..........and there's the problem.

Then we are in the same boat. I have been having the exact problem until last night. Have you upgraded your Adobe flash? That seemed to help me last night.

Upgrade your flash player. I used to have a hell of a time typing and accessing both chat and audio. Last night I upgraded my flash and it worked mint. Here's the link:

You're not being allowed past the redirect, which is peculiar. Flash player version should be irrelevant (unless they use Flash to get or store that information) but please do upgrade to the latest version at Crystal's link; it is a good idea regardless.

My guess is you are having cookie troubles or that, for whatever reason, your connection is timing out when redirected from the timezone page to the main page. Have you tried using a different internet browser? Firefox instead of Internet Explorer? Opera instead of Firefox? Internet Explorer instead of Firefox or Opera?

Is there usually a link to the Radio show? If so, I've been able to get in that before. It seems to be just the Blog talk website. I can see the chat screen fine, but just can't login. Maybe if I just try when the show is being broadcast. Dunno. Thanks all for trying.

The blogtalk website is a bit screwy and difficult to navigate.

However, if you come in as a guest, we are usually constantly posting direct links to chat/audio. Try clicking on one of those, the other thing as well that not many know, that once you log in..You need to refresh your screen.

Doesn't it say on the bottom of your page if want to chat you either need to sign up or log in, and both of those have links embedded into them?

I'm on Vista and using IE. I get in with no problem. But, before I sign in, I save the direct link to the audio since I sometimes lose the ability to access our page on BTR once I sign in. I have the direct chat link permanently saved in my favs.

Tamia, doubleclick the clock in the lower right hand corner and it should pop up the clock settings and you'll see a tab that says "Time Zone". When you click the tab, does it display the correct time zone for you? Can you change it at all from the drop down list, and is there a shitload of different timezones or do you see a limited list?

Just asking because I've seen people have a corrupted timezone file in the registry. If everything above looks okay, then blow this suggestion off, but if some of the items look off, or limited or you can't change those settings, send me a pm and I'll try to find a registry file you can update. If that's not it, the only other suggestion I'd have is what Shadow mentioned above, maybe clear your cookies and temporary internet files and restart the machine. Good luck.

Okay, downloading Firefox seems to have done it. I can navigate through the website, login correctly, and all I have to do now is try chat. I have to go to work, so I will try it later.

Kered, HDS, and Crystal, thank you, thank you, THANK you from the bottom of my lil heart. You all are lifesavers! Well, you saved my computer's life, anyways, lol.

Well, never mind. I'm in chat, and now I can't even chat. My name appears, but I can't type in the room.

Ugh.

Ok, well firefox might be making it easier to navigate.. your next step would be to Download the flash update.

After doing that, re-boot your computer..it's not necessary..but we just want to make damn sure it's loaded. ;)

When that is done, and you get into chat the next time, simply refresh your page after you enter..and test it out..

Alright Crystal,

Re-downloading Adobe after downloading firefox seemed to have worked. I'll test it again to night for the Canadian's Broadcast.

Thank you for all your help, should we re-name you Wonder woman or something? :D
