The Good Guys embarked on their next road trip. They lost two of three games to the Mets in New York, and then won two of three in Atlanta, and lost two of three in Houston. They returned home, on a Sunday night, to begin a nine game homestand, against the teams from the middle of the country.
Although it was still early enough in the season for the Good Guys to light a fire under themselves, such was not happening. The team, throughout it's history, had never experienced a mediocre season. They were either championship caliber, or one of the worst teams in baseball, including the season they lost the hundred games. Now, they had a troubled right fielder with a marriage that was never stable, and a team, that just looked lost. It was not known what could snap them out of their slump.
When Mitch arrived home, on Sunday night, he retreated to his bedroom. It was time for another week of Good Guy home baseball, and it was not known if that week would be any more inspired than the recent homestands.
On Monday night, Gil Bellows opened the nine game homestand, with a game against Pittsburgh. He allowed one run in six innings. The Good Guys rallied from a 1-0 deficit in the seventh, to score two runs, and take the lead. The bullpen then took over, and Kate Hudson finished off a 2-1 win. Charlize Theron pitched on Tuesday night. She, too, gave a fine effort, giving up no runs in eight innings, as Paradise broke a scoreless tie with a Grand Slam homer, and cruised to a 4-0 victory. Neve Campbell took the ball on Wednesday night. She allowed three runs in six innings. The Good Guys trailed, 3-1 for most of the game, until they came up with three runs in the bottom of the ninth, and a thrilling 4-3 triumph, their first sweep of a series in ages.
Thursday was an off day. That day, the couple showed up to counesling. "We are playing inspired baseball for the first time in the longest time. Even if we cant save our marriage, let's try to give the fans a good show, if in fact this is the last season" Naomi said.
Chicago came to town on Friday night. Rachel Leigh Cook had the ball, and was shellacked, allowing ten runs in five innings, of a 10-5 loss. Hayden was on the mound on Saturday night. She pitched brilliantly, giving up only one run, and four hits in eight innings, as Paradise broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth, with two runs, and Kate finished the 3-1 Good Guy victory. Gil Bellows was the starter, on a sunny, humid, 86 degree Sunday, in front of a sellout. Gil gave up three solo homers in his six innings of work, but the Good Guys fought back from a 3-0 deficit in the sixth, to score five runs. The five runs were all the Dr needed, as Hudson again saved the day in the ninth, and the Good Guys were off to a flying start on the homestand, with a 5-3 win, their fifth win in the six games on the homestand.
St Louis entered Paradise on Monday night, for the homestand's last series. Charlize Theron pitched on Monday night, and gave up four solo homers, in a 4-1 loss. Neve Campbell was the starter on Tuesday night. The Good Guys started quickly that night, sprinting out to a 6-3 lead. Kate came in for the ninth, and for one of the few times, really got bombarded. By the end of the inning, the Cardinals had four runs, and a 7-6 lead. It was a lead their bullpen would protect, in a 7-6 Cardinal win. Rachel Leigh Cook took the mound, on a sunny, humid, 89 degree Paradise Wednesday afternoon, in front of a sellout. Cook gave up only three runs in eight innings, and it looked like the Good Guys were going to go down to defeat. In the ninth, trailing by two runs, the Paradise team loaded the bases, and then, Ed Burns put a thrilling end to the homestand, with a Grand Slam home run, that gave the Good Guys a 5-3 victory, and completed a six and three homestand. For the first time all year, the team looked inspired, in spite of the two losses in the previous three games, and, as they prepared to head to Pittsburgh the next night, things were looking up.

The featured lee would be Natalie, a beautiful redhead with curly hair, who sometimes did some of the Good Guys female pitchers hair during the off season. At first, Natalie wanted no part of being the evening's star lee. Sometime earlier, the attractive stylist had been the victim of a tickling bandit, who had entered her apartment, robbed her of her wallet and hair tips purse, tied her up, and tickled her non consensually. However, as the evening went on, and she saw the fun that everyone who was being tickled was having, she warmed to the idea. She was VERY ticklish, and was going to be the object of tickle torture. Finally, Natalie stripped to her black bra and panties, and was tied hands and feet to the bed, in the middle of the fetish club. Center Fielder Burns began the tickle on Natalie's neck with fingers, as her head shifted, and the giggles began:HEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEE! Natalie went ballistic, she wiggled her toes every which way, flexing and pointing them wildly, and shrieked with giirlish hysterical giggles: HEHEHEHEHHEEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHHEHEHEHEHEHE! "As always, Mitchell, that is up to you" Naomi said. "Okay, well, let's see if we can attempt to improve things next time I'm home. Have a good week" Mitch said, picking up his case, and heading out the door to his cab to the airport.
