I'd love to hear Ticklehorror's explanation. I don't see any good reason for them to be that expensive.

Is this a joke? That's simply absurd. It's not like they're the only people in the world who produce tickling videos, and even if they were there would be no justification for such ludicrous prices.

You'll notice that they don't have any videos at all in their "Our top selling videos" list. I guess no one is insane enough to pay those prices.

At first I thought that this had to be a misprint. But no. A 40 minute video for $224.99. What in the hell are they smoking? I will never give them my business for any reason whatsoever. F'ing ripoff, man. :sowrong:

They will sell very few but you know there are people out there for whom money truly is no object.

That's true, but it seems to me that they could actually make more money if they sold their DVDs at more reasonable price, as they'd sell significantly more copies. I mean, for the amount they ask for their most expensive title, a customer might get as many as, say, 10 videos from some other producers, especially if they can get a bulk deal. Can a DVD really be so unbelievably awesome that it actually justifies a price that's 8-10 times more than other DVDs?

I guess the Ticklehorror people must have considered this and have reasons for their current prices, but those reasons are totally beyond me. Oh well, if it works for them, well, good for them, I suppose.

It still doesn't make sense in any way to me. I'd think that even a person who's well-off would look at this and say, "You've got to be kidding me!" He then hops over to a better tickling site and purchases multiple videos of longer length and better quality than the $225 video from Tickle Horror. The only feeling of "horror" I get from that company is the way they're ripping people off.

If I would have 200 $ to enjoy myself, I may rent a model, tickle her for one hour, make a film of all my amusement and sell the DVD on Clip4Sale for 250 $, without have to buy it from any other company.
Maybe TickleHorror thought to make the same!

HA HA HA!

Kiss and tickling to everybody,

Jeez...thats the sickest prices I have ever seen.
It's like they think they make the best stuff in the entire world or something.
Whos starring in these videos? Hollywood actors?

Idiotic...

$200 plus for a movie? Damn I doubt they will sell many of them, if any. We've had a couple request for dvds of our clips and I put as many clips on a dvd that will fit for around $50. $200plus is just insane.

Well, with this being a free-market system and all, producers are welcome to charge whatever that want.

Doesn't mean they'll have many customers, however. I mean $200 is a little steep. I mean that's about 1/3 of my monthly rent... and all for a 20 minute video?

Good luck, guys,

wow the rest of them are like $135 for 40 minutes. yet for $28 you can download them all, plus $28 a month is too much maybe $20 tops.

I have a few of their clips. They pretty much hire pornstars and tickle them using very poor technique. And that camera dude talks way too much while you're watching. On occasion they make a good vid but its very rare they get it right.

Even for porn, which has insane pricing for materials, this is just batshit retarded.

I hope they enjoy their zero sales.

I find their prices most reasonable
I have purchased all of their available DVDs
They are really excellent.
Why pay $20.00 when you can pay $200.00-- don't you people get it?
It's so obvious---
Just send me your credit card details and I'll show you how to buy them all for $5.00

ditto that.

They had some good clips early on but I'm not very impressed with their new ones. And I find their new site featuring renaissance stock tickling also disappointing. And I love stocks with a passion.

Like many here I also looked at it thinking it must be some kind of mistake.

Perhaps these are gold platted dvd's that also do the house work ........

The only thing I can think of too be honest is Tickle horror isn't trying to make money from their DVD's but instead hoping that people will come to thier site and subscribe there (beliving their getting great value based on the hyper inflated dvd's).

My thoughts exactly. Marketing 101. 'Our DVD prices are so high because our product is so great. We don't really want to go to the trouble of making DVD's, so at these prices our clips and website look like a steal'.

Ideas - great. Execution of ideas - not so great. Results - I'm still waiting for one of their clips that makes me want to download it. I've always resisted because I hate regretting a purchase...

That I would pay $200.00 for a DVD, if it was several hours long, and it was from good companies like Tickleabuse, TicklingParadise, and other top notch video companies.

But 200.00 for 40 minutes?! No way.

Good point, and something I have not thought of. About a month ago or so, I purchased on of their 'trial memberships'.

Before you could download the videos right to your PC, but now you can only stream them from their servers.

Paying $200 and $135 for a single DVD is pretty ridiculous. Those kinds of prices make me wonder if TickleHorror might also be in the oil business...

I read this thread and the responses with interest.

I suspect Haqim is right - the DVD store is just a tool to draw buyers to Tickle Horror's membership site, where buyers can get a "bargain" compared to the DVD prices.

In fact, it works even better if TH has 3 product tiers:

1. Very cheap, 2-minute clips for $5.99
2. Good quality, 8-minute clips for $7.99
3. Good quality, 40-minute DVDs for $199.99

You'd bet your bottom dollar that (2) would be his biggest and best seller.

I suspect TH knows EXACTLY what he's doing :)
