Alright hear me out on this one:

The other day I ordered a cheeseburger and when it came out I put the tomato on it, but not Ketchup.

My sister asked if I wanted Ketchup on it and I said 'no thanks, I have tomatoe' and we got into a long discussion over whether a tomato slice and ketchup are the same (or have similar flavor).

She was saying they have different flavors, I was saying it's like putting guacamole on a taco salad that already has advocado....

I mean, for crying out loud, it's called TOMATOE KETCHUP!!!

Anyways, help me settle this:

Do you think a tomatoe slice and ketchup on a burger is the same?

Do you put one and not the other on your burger(s)?

Do you put both?

Does it make a difference or do you care?

How say youse?

1) No. One is solid the other liquid, I have other reasons but that is enough!

2) Depends on what is available. Sometimes I could have access to both but use neither.

3) Not always, but I could.

4) Life is too short to give a care.

5) It was your fricken burger! What the hell does your sister care what you put on it! Tell her, "mind your own damn business with burgers and condiments! I like what I like and don't need to saturate everything I eat with red stuff! Crap! You gonna ask if I wanna add hot sauce, too?"

NOT WORTH IT!

Do you think a tomatoe slice and ketchup on a burger is the same? not at all, the texture is different, as is the flavour, completly different condiments.

Do you put one and not the other on your burger(s)? I usually do one or the other, depending on nothing in particular.

Do you put both? maybe every now and then

Does it make a difference or do you care? It makes a big difference, I usually prefere ketchup, but I aint too fussed as long as the end result is good ;)

I personally think Tomatoes and Ketchup are 2 different things (because they have different flavors) but I do see where you are coming from.

I actually order a burger with no onion and then get onion rings on the side. Yeah, I'm weird, I know. :p

Do you think a tomatoe slice and ketchup on a burger is the same?:

Totally different. Ketchup has sugar and vinegar in it.

Do you put one and not the other on your burger(s)?:

I put what's available.

Do you put both?:

Yes if I can.

Does it make a difference or do you care?:

No not particularly. I don't really care a fig, but it's your choice.

Eh, they taste different to me. In my opinion, there will always be room for both. Load up that burger! ;)

I love tomatos too. I grow several different varieties from cherries to Beefsteaks and use them according to what meal I am having.

The cherry tomatos are usually used in salads though I can eat them right from the vine. The bigger ones I use on cheeseburgers or slice up as a side to Steaks or porkchops on the grill.
