Mimi On the Forum

I've been active in the online tickling community for 12 years now. It began when my childhood best friend was chatting with me on ICQ one day, and she said "hey, you should come join me in the chat room I'm in...it's on mIRC and it's called 'ticklefun'." I remember the overwhelming thrill that shot through my body at that moment when I realized there were others who enjoyed tickling for fun and more. Not to mention registering the idea that this girl I grew up with was a fellow ticklephile.

The chat room was run by a husband and wife duo known as Lionclaw and FoxyToy, and I met a few of our current TMFers during my time spent in there. After a while I was asked to be co-owner of the room, and I thank them for the opportunity and experience as I believe it helped pave my way to my current position as a forum moderator here on the TMF.

The chat room closed it's doors after about 2 years of operation due to hostile take-overs and the growing frustration of maintaining it. I wound up taking a hiatus from the tickling community for a few years due to the fact I didn't know where else to turn since I found AMT less than desirable. Out of desperation, in 2001 I decided to give AMT a second chance, and within hours of rejoining I saw a post come through from MTP_Jeff. Within it was a link to the TMF. I decided to check it out and was hooked instantly. I couldn't believe there was such a large collection of ticklephiles in one place (a little over 2000 at the time...my how we've grown!!), not to mention the safe, sane, and welcoming platform it presented.

Within a few months of joining I was asked to attend my very first tickling gathering - the Superbowl Gathering in Albany, NY. Having never traveled farther than 5 hours from my central Wisconsin home, it was QUITE the adventure. I never thought I could be so comfortable, so quickly, with a group of virtual strangers, but it was easily one of the most memorable and exciting experiences of my life. I had such a great time, that 2 years later I decided to give hosting a try and I put on the first GLAT gathering in Milwaukee, WI. It was a great success and I look forward to hosting another down the road. I also have dreams of attending my first NEST gathering in the not so distant future.

In 2002, I was offered the position as a chat room moderator, and I happily accepted the offer. A few months later, I was promoted to forum moderator, and it's been the pleasure of my life to be a part of something so wonderful. Through my new rank, I tried to be the loud voice for the quiet female population, and coax them into more active participation. Over time they did get louder, and now I believe our female voices are even stronger than the males. What a long way we've come, and it's been a fabulous ride.

Mimi Away from the Forum

In my life offline, I am known as Q. My real name is Quinie (pronounced Kwinny), but rather than listen to it being butchered in every way imaginable, I just use my initial. My close friends started that trend, and it stuck. I am engaged to a fellow TMF member known as Lazarus. We met through the tickling community and are one of many success stories. He is a former indy wrestler who went by the stage name Xtreme (I have spoken with a few of you who remember him from the indy scene). Between the two of us, we have 4 children...ages 13, 13, 12 and 8. The youngest has proven to be the spawn of Satan, but we love her just the same. We also have 4 furry children...4 cats by the names of Rusty, Wimmer, Autumn and Reeses. We live in central Wisconsin, about an hour north from Wisconsin Dells...the water park capital of the world.

My main career path thus far has been in restaurant management, though currently I choose to be a stay at home Mom. Once the kids are older, I may decide to return to that field, or I make use of the little bit of college education I got and pursue an office position of some sort. The future is open to a variety of possibilities, and only time itself will tell where I'll find myself.

My interests include making signature tags and other computer graphics, though this last Spring my PC crashed and I lost nearly everything I use to create them. I am gradually trying to rebuild my collection, but it is a slow and tedious project, and I've been forced to retire from creating signatures for TMF members until I can get back to where I was before the crash. My deep apologies to those of you who have inquired and been turned away. I hope to eventually offer my services in this area again. Other things I enjoy are singing (I used to be quite good and have 10 1st place medals from competing in competitions, but alas your voice is like your muscles and if you don't keep working out, you lose a good bit of it over time); reading (Agatha Christie is my favorite author, but only the Hercule Poirot series...I also love H.P. Lovecraft, Ray Bradbury, Ramsey Campbell, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Poppy Z. Brite, horror anthologies, ghost stories, and true mystery); football (go Packers...who needs Favre anyway?!); Nascar and wrestling (though I don't follow either as closely as I used to); and amateur photography (some of my pics can be found on my deviant art site - http://meemster1973.deviantart.com ). I also have an interest in BBW art, and recently became a Toil Girl (a creation of the artist Les Toil, the premiere BBW Pinup artist in the world). My portrait can be seen here:

Well, I think that's me in a truck sized nutshell. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
