There's an extended tickle scene (31 seconds long) in this film where Kyra Sedgwick (of "The Closer" on TV) is tickled on a bed by her husband as a prelude to sex (that part you don't get to see). Her laughter sounds on the scripted side to my ear but she's got this great "laughing face". In any case, the sound fades out half way through the scene as her expression changes from giddy to pained. There's a narrative reason for that: her husband is physically abusive, a quality quite suddenly and brutally demonstrated in an unrelated following scene.
The tickling occurs at the 8:51 / Chpt 3 mark on the DVD.
I would recommend this film anyway as it is well-written and well-acted. It's a trilogy featuring three women (Sedgwick, Parker Posey and Fairuza Balk) making some life-altering decisions and is based on a book of short stories by Rebecca Miller.
