I know a lot of you have seen the 80s movie "The Princess Bride", and there aren't any tickling scenes in it, but has anyone ever read the book? The book is brilliant, the movie is very good but I love the book. It's by William Goldman. Anyway, there's a passage about tickling, towards the end of the story. I would type it all down but I can't seem to find my book ... basically, it's at the part where Inigo and Fezzick take Westley to miracle max's, after he has been killed by the prince and the count, they wish to bring him back to life. And Max asks Inigo if Westley is ticklish. Inigo gets pissed and tells Max he's wasting his time by asking foolish questions, but then Max goes on to explain how once, he had a corpse ("worse than this one", heh), and he described how he tickled the body's armpits with feathers, and tickled his feet, and his stomach, nose, head to toe. And the corpse said to him "I really hate that". And then Max has this conversation with the corpse about tickling. "What, you hate this, what I'm doing here?" "Yes, I've come all the way back from the land of the dead to tell you to stop." And then he explained that he had restored the person's life through tickling --because "once you get them talking, half the battle is won" lol. He didn't tickle Westley though, he made a pill to bring him back.
This book is tremendously funny too, I reccommend it highly.
