I don't get anything.
Am I mad?
Or more upset?
It's irritating.
Because you cause me to
Be this way.
One problem
After another
After another.
If I don't worry about one
I'm worrying about the
New one.
And you don't seem to care
That I'm hurting
That I'm aching
And you're just sitting there.
Enjoying the show
And secretly smiling at yourself.
You think that I can't see you
But I know how you feel.
And that hurts me the most.
You're irritating.
If I can't love you
Then I'll hate you
But it's too hard to do that.
Everything reminds me of
You
And it's killing me.
It's weakening me
And now
I can't even find myself.
I don't know who I am anymore.
I want you to go away.
Go away.
Far away.
Away from me.
But I want you to take my
Heart with you.
Because I don't want it anymore.
It's used up, anyway.
It's dried up, anyway.
It's broken, anyway.
I don't want it anymore.
It plays a role in my life
That wasn't expected.
I'm irritating
Because all I'm going to do
Is cry
Is scream
Is die.
I'll quiet someday.
Don't you worry.
But I know that
You don't.
And it makes me think that
I really just don't get anything anymore.

Beautiful. Feels like it comes from a very personal place.

I hope your heartbreak goes away soon! :headpat:

I know this feeling rather well. You express it beautifully.

LOL. Whenever I read anything of yours the same thing comes to mind - devastatingly beautiful.

I'm curious though, because you always write from such an honest, real place, just, mining raw emotion and finding the closest words to match them as best you can, do you ever feel better or feel relief when you're done? Do you save some or get it all out at once? Do YOU end the poem as a writer? Or does the poem end itself because there's nothing left in that place to take from?
