Is anybody else psyched for this game? I played the demo and loved it.. so much in fact that I pre-ordered it for next week. I also went on amazon and picked up the Arkham Asylum graphic novel, and so far it's great. Dark, twisted, and surreal. The art is fantastic too.
One more week!

SUPER PSYCHED, but saving money for Halo ODST ;). The demo looks incredible and the plot-line gives me chills for sure. Or maybe that's the Joker's laugh!

It looks pretty darn fun. I keep seeing the commercials for it. :)

I've had this game pre-ordered since last year.
I'm getting the $100 collector's edition with the 14-inch Batarang, the 50 page character journal, and all the sweetass behind the scenes stuff.
This game will eat my life.
And I will love every moment of it.

I LOVE Batman: The Animated Series, so I've been pumped for this game since I heard Kevin Conroy, and more importantly, Mark Hammill were reprising their roles as Bats and Joker. I downloaded the demo and love it. Tuesday can't come soon enough to me.

I'll probably rent it.
Personally, I'm holding my breath for Dead Rising 2.:gonao:

Is there a part in the video game where Batman has to dispose of a bomb, but a marching band and cute little duckies keep getting in the way?

Those are the same two games that I have pre-ordered! I've never played COD but a lot of people at work play and I've heard only good things. Bioshock 2 and AC 2 are on my list too.

My sister and I always laugh at that picture. Batman runs around for like 15 minutes carrying the bomb without it exploding LOL!

I am pretty psyched for this game. As most of you know, the only superhero with a worse video game track record is Superman, and I loved the animated series too. The demo seemed pretty good, I just hope it isn't one of those games thats kickass but 6 hours long.

The beautiful thing is that while it has two excellent VAs from the animated series, it's based solely on 60+ years of Batman comic book lore.
Supposedly, after Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill read the script, they came back the next day and asked if they could make it darker. <3

I'd like to get it, but it won't be for the Wii or the PS2. It sucks that we're being penalized for not having next-gen gaming systems.

You're not being penalized. These systems have been out for several years now, you should have come to expect that they'd slow - and eventually stop - developing games for previous generation systems.
Not to mention that this game would look and run TERRIBLY on older systems.

Coup de Grace:
The PS3 dropped in price to $300 for an 80gig system just this week. Now's the time to pick it up if you've been tempted, or wait until September for the PS3 Slim, which is the same price with a larger hard drive and is, well, slimmer.
As an added incentive, the PS3 version of Arkham has Joker as a playable character in the game's challenge rooms. You can bet your ass I'm psyched for that.

Im gunna pick a ps3 up in 2010 when I can play god of war 3 and final fantasy 13 for it. Its good that the system went down to 300 bucks. I dont really see a real reason to pick one up. All the xbox 360 games look pretty much the same as the ps3 ones.(graphics wise). Except tales of vesperia had more content for the ps3....very sneaky sony very sneaky:sarcasm:

From a biased opinion, MGS4 made my PS3 purchase entirely warranted. Ratchet and Clank, Joker in Arkham, and Resistance are just fun perks to it. And just for the hell of venting about it, I'm STILL pissed that FFXIII is going to the 360.

It makes me want to read the comics because I don't know half the villains.
So far it has been great. The action/fighting sequences look badass, and the detective work and riddler challenges are awesome. I like the stealth aspects of the game as well as the horror elements. I'm only familiar with the movie version of Scarecrow, but the game version is somewhat freaky.

Still thinking about getting it for my PS3. So far the reviews are very very postive. And I love Batman. So I guess it's a must buy...!?

It's definitely worth reading the comics.
If you're interested in some of these villains, some excellent graphic novels to check out would be The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Haunted Knight, Hush, and Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth.

I just read Arkham Asylum and it was great. I'm thinking of picking up another one. Thanks for the suggestions.
Probably my favorite superhero game. Ever.

I think a portion of my next check will have to be devoted to this game. AA and the new COD will dominate my next few months of free time. Now to get my xbox live working again...

I really want to get this game, mostly because it seems like it is the best Batman game since the NES.

You'd have the read older issues, because right now, Bruce isn't Batman in the comics (I'll give ya a hint: Batman usually acts like a dick...now, he really IS a Dick lol )
This game is FUCKING. AMAZING.
No, this game is THE GODDAMN BATMAN!:rockon:
I've been thinking about getting it myself , but I'm just havin trouble deciding: "PS3 + game", or "wait for PC version". I'm tempted to go with PS3 (and to get rid of the old PS2 games that I don't play anymore).

I just got the game for my PS3. All I can say is OUTSTANDING! The game completely rocks!
