Well here we are again! Again I apologize for the lateness but the subject and I were a little late. So, looking all around the forum for an interesting sort I chose someone whom has spent some time abroad. It was a chance for me to get the aspect of a different culture and to ask a few different questions. So, I give you....the subject of this weeks ETA....subtle feather!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Having lived in Japan for awhile, how would you describe the difference in how fetishes are viewed here and there.

Japanese people, particularly Japanese women, are much more conservative than Western people on average, so having a fetish is a bit more risque. The BDSM/Fetish scene in Japan seems to be confined to clubs in major cities and many, many different kinds of videos. There is not, for example, something like the TMF in Japan, at least as far as I know, though there is a specialized tickling escort service in Tokyo, if that's your thing.

2. How easy was it for you to get the same or equal material here in the US while you were in Japan.

As far as fetish material goes, I never saw any kind of adult shop outside of a major city, so I guess the internet is King. I am not really a big video collector, but one thing I have noticed is that Japanese tickling videos tend to be more about overwhelming the lee sexually and not really anything to do with laughter. I think I prefer the American variety :)

3. What is the thing you missed the most not being in the US, what is the thing you now miss the most not being in Japan.

When I was in Japan I missed being able to communicate easily in my native language, having wide open spaces around, eating American food, and being with family and friends the most. Oh, and I missed going to tickling gatherings lol.
Now that I am home, I miss people the most, but apart from that, I miss speaking Japanese, the politeness of Japan, the amazing customer service, the feeling of safety that comes with the super-low crime rate, and the awesome mass transit system.

4. Being a musician, do you find yourself a little more restrained in using your hands for fear of having an accidental twist or pull during a session hurt your fingers?

I guess I am more conscious of hurting my hands than other people, but actually I think being a musician is a very good thing for a ler (or a switch like me haha) because playing an instrument improves your hand strength and dexterity--so I am able to win more tickle battles and therefore avoid injury

5. To you what is the best part of a gathering to you?

I think the best part of gatherings is getting a chance to meet and become friends with a wide variety of people who all happen to love tickling. Playing is fun too, but I think the relationships and the general social atmosphere are the best.

6. What would you desire more of....smaller gatherings more often or more people at fewer large gatherings?

I guess I would pick a lot of small gatherings over a few large ones, but honestly, can't we have both? Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaase?

7. Are there any musical influences that inspire you?

Oh Gosh, I could write an essay a mile long about this. I love all kinds of music and so am inspired by so many different people and styles. I guess I could say the people who impress me the most are jazz musicians, because they are so virtuosic on their instruments and they are so capable of amazing improvisation.

8. And as always the last question: If you could have dinner with any 3 persons, living or dead...who would they be and why.

I'll take my mother, Buddha, and Scarlett Johannson. My mom because she died in childbirth and I never met her, Buddha because his teachings inspire me and Scarlett Johannson because I don't think I could get a date with her otherwise and it might favorably impress her that my mom and I go out to eat with Buddha.

I would like to thank subtle feather for doing this edition of the ETA with me. I certainly got some answers I didn't expect and found out some things I did not know.

A great ETA and the next will be a VERY SPECIAL ETA, the Christmas Edition!
It will be a real treat....I assure you.

SO stay tuned, and thanks for reading this edition of Eight Things About.

Woohoo! I was wondering when we'd get a new ETA up! :D Very interesting read :)

Awesome interview, subtle feather and rob! :bounce:

Awesome interview!!! I love having the chance to learn more about you man even though I already know you are super cool.

Obviously I adored question number 4. Totally epic answer. You has major win. :happyhop:

Great interview guys! Gregg, it's always good to learn more about you bud. The last answer killed me. Put in a good word with her for me, and let her know that my mom and myself are having dinner with Gandhi next Thursday if she is free. :p

That was great! :D Thank you both... nice to learn more about you, Subtle Feather! Cheers!

Rob, you should just retire this question, because no one will ever come up with a better answer. Gregg, this had me laughing my ass off. Love you tons, babe :bubbleheart:

Thanks for all the kind replies everyone! It was really flattering to be chosen for the coveted ETA interview, so thanks again to Rob in particular :)

Thanks hon! It's a good thing you're not a ler, otherwise people would have to live in fear of your musical awesomeness :)

Haha will do man--I wonder if she has a thing for Indian pacifists.

Love you too, Lyz. :ily:

Great interview. Fascinating insight into Japan, which is a place I've never been. :D
