When your fetish was discovered what was the general reaction?

Did they embrace your fetish and say "it's cool" or did you catch grief?

I don't have a tickling fetish but I do have a female foot (toe) fetish. I would rather see a lady's bare toes in flip-flops than to see her bare breasts or ass. It's just one of those things- Since the feet are concealed for the most part, you can't gauge how they look until they've been unveiled. With other body parts, you can guess to a certain degree how they look but not with feet. For example- If a female is wearing tight pants, you can take a reasonable guess as to how shapely her legs are and how plump her ass is. You can't see through shoes and there are very few that show the contour or silhouette of the toes.

At any rate, when my friends figured out my female foot fetish, I caught hell. Most of them have gave me a hard time about it; like it's something out of the ordinary when in fact, a foot fetish is amongst the most common of fetishes. They give me a hard time about sucking toes to which I reply "If you're an ass man, that doesn't necessarily mean you have a desire to lick ass cheeks and give rim jobs." I just like to look at female toes just like other guys like gazing at bare breasts... and don't get me wrong, I love boobs too! :p

In any event, when your friends discovered your fetish (no matter what it is- tickling, feet, legs, etc.), what was their reaction?

To be perfectly honest, one of the first things I did when I realized the full extent of my fetish was gather dirt on my friends. You know, Mutually Assured Destruction.

One of my friends knows, and he's a nice guy, plus we swapped secrets, so no bad reactions there. The only other people who know are girls with whom I've fooled around, again no bad reactions.

Actually, there was one dude I confessed to a while ago because he told me about his dirty panty fixation... some months later, a friend of his IM'd me in a really bad attempt to mock me... so I guess the beans had spilled... anyway I basically just acted confused and ignorant, and he bought it. Soooo no damage done. Those guys are turds anyway, I sincerely wouldn't give a rats ass if they ran with it.

Only my absolute best friend knows about my tickling fetish, I keep it pretty close to my chest. He knew for a while I had some secret kink, but by the way i was concealing it i think he thought i was into some cross between necrophilia and scat. It seemed like a bit of an anti-climax for him when he found out it was 'just' tickling, although he did say i was right to be shy about it, it seemed a bit childish and lame to him, coming from someone who's into hard bondage and pissing... we've agreed never to speak of it again...

My ex was the first person I told, and he gave me a look like I just farted.

My workmate who's also my friend knows about it as well and she was quite open minded about it so I'm very comfortable talking to her about it and about the TMF (which she's thinking of joining as a 'ler' also)

I don't remember. It's happened twice and both times their clothes came off shortly afterward so my memory's a little fuzzy.

Went rather well I suppose.

I remember telling this girl once I had a tickle fetish but she didn't have much a of a reaction.

I think the chloroform was still wearing off.

I've never had a bad reaction. My best friend was very interested and asked alot of questions, and in the end thought it was cool and interesting. My ex fiance joined the TMF :) I just told my coworker last night (she's more of a friend who I happened to meet at work than a coworker - so please spare me the ZOMG NO TIKLEZ @ WURK KTHX!) and she thought it was cute and sounded like alot of fun.

I wish I had at least one unequivocal reaction lol. All of them have been horrible so far. I even had a girlfriend leave me cause I made the mistake of joining a tickling group when I first joined myspace and she saw it on my profile! She called me a deviant and called it a day. So far, not so good!

LESBO ACTION RED ALERT!!!!!!111111 :fingerscrossed:

You know, even though the other men I told never really knew the extent of my fetish (only Dawes knows that), it went over well. Guys found it "adorable." Unfortuntely, it seems to be one of those things that women are welcomed to have but men are not. I don't agree with that mindset.

However, while it was really accepted at first, I didn't like the reactions I saw later. When I was engaged, my ex-fiance used it as a button for arousal. That I'll never forgive. The guy I just broke up with didn't really understand that it was a fetish and not just something you do when being playful. He couldn't understand that it caused sexual arousal.

So my responses were okay; accepting enough, but ultimately no one has gotten it until my current boyfriend.

LOL! Yeah, that's how it's like for me and the only 'nilla friend of mine who knows. He was cool with it, but if he ever tries to do anything with this knowledge... I have pictures of him! :mwahaha:

What do you mean, "general reaction"? Why would there be a "general reaction"? Why would anybody generally tell about their fetish? The few people who know don't care whatsoever.

For me, nobody has found out yet (haven't told anyone either.) ;)

Can I get an AMEN from the choir? Seriously, what sort of disorder do you need to have to randomly share your fetishes at the lunch table? "Say Bill, could you pass the chili sauce...oh, and by the way, I like eating the corn out of my wife's ass."

Man, I hope this doesn't happen often.

:wahooo:

My ex was the first and so far the only one that I have really told. But I guess other girls have figured it out before seeing how me tickling them always......well has a certain reaction on me. But yeah I find that most girls dont really seem to mind in fact they enjoy it much more simply because it makes me "happy". It is interesting how open minded girls can be when they realize how big a part of ones (sex)life something is.

i've only told my girlfriend about my fetish of tickling, and she said she was happy to oblige :bubbly: I dont really have the desire to tell anyone else...

While I don't necessarily have a tickling fetish myself (though I do think I'm being slowly converted, because I do find myself increasingly intrigued and aroused by the scenarios in which it's applied), I like to think the reaction I gave Vae was nothing more than fully accepting and compassionate. I find it to be an immensely endearing fetish, one that requires no other resources than the two bodies, one that promotes advanced communication and physical intimacy. There is nothing but good things that can come from that! To have another way to admire a beautiful body through touch, laughter, and pleasure? I'm in there like swimwear!

I also like to think a portion of my acceptance comes as a result of my own anternative fetishes. When we shared these secret interests, I was just as afraid as she was -- I didn't want to scare her off or disturb her image of me with my own secrets. Needless to say, I didn't need to be so concerned about that. :) Sharing and accepting just made us stronger and closer to one another than ever before.

It's always been a good reaction. Maybe this is because I would never form a relationship with a girl who wasn't understanding in the first place though?

The ex wife grew intolerant of tickling, but when the foot fetish came to light, she blew up angry, saying it was gross and disgusting. She loved having her feet rubbed, just not tickled or licked, which was a crying shame, she had such perfect size 12's.
The last girlfriend use to seethe in anger about having been held down and tickled against her will in the past, and her hatred of any kind of bondage. Needless to say, I kept a lid on it, while still getting somewhat turned on, and wanting her to tell me the stories in detail. Needless to say, that one didn't last much longer. She ever found the tickle porn collection after that, it'd be lights out, and not in the good way.

I think what the OP meant was if you've told several people over the years, as you've been in and out of relationships, overall was the reaction positive or negative?

I think very few people just go around making it common knowledge that they have a fetish - but if they do, that's their business and they shouldn't be ridiculed for it.

I remeber that night very well and I mentioned it in the thread about "wifes friends".

We had some guests over one fall night and I was alone in the kitchen with my wife's friend "Kim". Kim has very well preportioned feet and always wears thick, soft, black socks.

I asked her why she always wore them and she said because they were comfortable. She went outside and must have said something to my wife because when I walked out to the back patio I heard my wife saying," ....my husband has a foot fetish".

I was floored and backed into a corner. Despite the comments and weird looks I held my ground and told the other guests that there was nothing more relaxing and sweet than masssaging and tickling a nice pair of feet especailly in stockings and after work.

Turns out Kim, who seemed intrigued, never had a massage from her husband because he stated that he absolutely despises feet.

Shortly afterward the converation turned and it was at the end of the night when Kim and her husband were the last to leave Kim turned to me and said," on the way home my husband is going to take me to K-Mart so I can buy some nylons for next week when we get together.

I did eventually tickle her feet.

I've only told two close friends, and my ex found out easily enough. The reaction I got each time was a confusion lol. I think its because I'm generally so open and honest about sex, they expected something more "hardcore". In the end they were understanding at least.
