I wrote this poem to a Madvillain beat (Madlib & MF Doom). If you care to take a listen and get into the song, you will see the rhythm my poem followed, which might make it easier to read. At any rate, I hope you enjoy!

this is something that cannot wait
if you delay, you will negate
the world that my love creates
i know i can place some joy
all over that gorgeous face
take my embrace, it can replace
the cold that's inside your space
absorb all my passion slow
there's no limit to how long it goes
but if you don't take a firm hold
i guess you will never know
aren't you the least bit hot
from all the loving that i've got
perhaps i'm wrong, and you are not
or maybe you just forgot
the feel of my yearning lips
the urgency inside my kiss
and other things i can't reveal
in poetry such as this
you know what i truly miss
how you brought about my bliss
intensity not quick dismissed
your ecstasy would persist
i'm pretty sure i'm convinced
as i look at the evidence
i've lost my mind and all my sense
enveloped in this suspense
to see if you burn like me
see if your affection will retreat
or will passion grow till overflow
i suppose i'll just wait and see
as my flames grow hotter still
and i've nothing that can kill
this feverish blaze consuming me
there's nothing else to fulfill
this deep abiding ache
not too much more i can take
don't keep me at bay, leave me this way
can't you hear me for goodness sake
i'm in need of your loving now
wasting time i cannot allow
take your place on center stage
or close the show and take a bow.

ZOMG! This was perfect and beautiful and made me want to dance and groove and hug you all at the same time for it's hotness, musicality, and for bringing me straight back to college at the coffee shop I used to go to for open mic night. *tear* I <3 you my dear.
