North Texas gathering

Just a quick note. It looks like the long awaited North Texas gathering is going to happen. The ball is slowly rolling. We're looking at a mid-February 2003 Saturday date with a club in Dallas called The Sanctuary being the play place. More details (and links) as they come.

Considerin' that, pre-announcement, you ALREADY have attendees, I've high hopes that you'll have a fine event, sir!

If y'never met this man, or the Texas scene, I know two out of the three organizers, and I like 'em both. Like 'em all, online.

For those plannin' a possible Mardi Gras trip, this one would be the IDEAL beginning or ending of that trip, and a fine layover. Do make the attempt!

Thanks for the kind words, DVNC. Do you know the date of the Mardi Gras party? We're trying not to have to competeing gatherings in the area that would "thin out" both parties. We might move ours to January or March.

Alas, I don't know the date of Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) this February. Wait. www.mardigras.com says it's March 4th in 2003. Jobelle's the one doin' that gathering. I just posted in her Southern Gathering section. Mail me and I'll connect you both.

Hello, it's me, Mike, just wanted to give everyone an update...

As it stands now, the N. Texas gathering will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2003, at The Sanctuary in Dallas, starting at 9 in the evening.

There will be no alcohol there- it is not allowed, so do NOT BYOB or else be SOL. Smoking is allowed in designated areas. Heroin is so passe.

There's a T.V./VCR system in the social (non play) area, which we will screen videos on. Also there is a stereo. We will be offering door prises of videos; If anyone wants to donate something as a prize (original not a copy) let me know - a video, a photo or artwork.

Fees: Events during Prime Sanctuary Party Hours: 9PM-2AM are $10 on Friday and $15 on Saturday, per person, for groups of 20 or more. We need at least 20 people for these great rates! Otherwise the standard rates of $150 for the 1st hour and $60 for each
additional hour will apply.

If you register in advance, the cost will be $20.00
If you register at the door, the cost will be $35.00
All ladies will be free of charge - if a guy arrives with a lady, the lady will be admitted free of charge and the gentleman (?) will recieve a 25% discount rate.

There's also a group rate. A "group" is defined as a party of 4 or
more. Each member in a group will pay only $10.00 per member of group (50% off per person). To obtain the group rates, we'll need the names of those in your group and you will need to pre-pay and payment will need to be made no later than 1 week prior to event.
There is a "no refund" policy. If you pre-register and cannot attend the party, unfortuately, we cannot offer ANY refunds.

The fees & rules are those of The Sanctuary - NOT OURS!

Depending on the availability, the party arrangements include space for a munch in the social area before the event (from 7pm-9pm) - we provide food & drinks.
