Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, Clowns...even Shrek scares the living crap out of little kids...

A couple of years ago, The Chicago Tribune had a contest to see who had the funniest photos of Children being afraid of Santa Claus. The earliest they had (and one of their best) went back to the 1940's, during the 'greatest generation.' I hardly think, badreligion, that small children being frightened of a giant green thing that's supposed to be make-believe coming towards them is a symptom of coddling or a nanny state.

'Twas funny, though. :)

All I know is when I was growing up and I had a Ninja Turtle or a Power Ranger come to my b day parties the kids didnt cry .
