Juvenile offenders from age 18-21 was sent to the stocks for petty crimes, such as stealing, under-age drinking, cursing, and other things. Offenders who committed murder, rape, and other henious crimes was hanged at the city square. The year was 1805, and this was the statement made to deter crime from happening. People in the stocks had their bare feet displayed and the public would torture them with methods such as tickling, drawing on them, and flaying. However, for Michael, tickling was feared because his feet was ticklish beyond belief. He could not stand having his feet touched for even a minute because he would just burst out with uncontrollable laughter.

Brine was painted for goats to lick off. Someone used a pen to play tic-tac-toe on his poor defenseless feet. Some got creative by using a fork on his arches. For his tummy, raspberries was blown, and fingers wiggled inside his innie belly button. He could not handle it much longer, as he had to use the bathroom, but it was not allowed. As more people gathered around his helpless body, the more intense the tickling became. Air brushes in his armpits made it hard from him to contain his laughter. He had college students use the dreaded claw, a device with a feather and fork attached to it. A number of male participants used the end of a ink pen to drive him crazier.
