Well there's nothing going on in the central valley so close = bay area, far = texas :P. Driving to Stanford was actually pretty enjoyable for me when I went up a few months ago so going to San Jose would be just dandy.

Wow, I've been away for so long I didn't even realize that there was an entire "Bay Area" gatherings section now. Awesome!

Anyway, if everything goes well I should be making the drive down from the north bay on Saturday. Can't wait to see everyone again!

This was lots of fun! I think the hotel did work out pretty well except for the overheating.

Anyways socktickler86, generally we have lunch (I skipped yesterday), meet at a private location, socialize, and tickle people. ;) Light bondage is generally involved in the latter but there are "free-form" tickle fights too. Usually the gathering lasts until at least midnight.

It seems like if you have a big group of people who like to tickle or want to be tickled... it seems like such a "white elephant in the room" kinda deal. I'm even laughing thinking about the idea! How do you go from socializing to tickling? Is it like "yah, so that Raiders loss was pretty bad.... so who wants to tickle me?" and everyone flies through the air onto the person to tickle them? I assume people take on magical powers at these things....

Perhaps you could think of it a bit like a dance party. You hang out, socializing with people. Every once in a while someone will ask someone else to dance, and that person can say yes, or say no. And if the answer is yes, they dance for awhile.

It's pretty much the same thing at these events. A lot of the time is spent just socializing with other people, but if someone feels like tickling, or being tickled, they will ask someone (or several someones) to tickle them or be tickled by them. If they say yes, then they'll tickle for awhile, having a grand time. No superpowers required. :)

I had a really great time! It was great seeing all the old familiar friends, and also meeting so many new people too! Thank you to catstoes and April for tickling me so well! Catstoes is very liberal about revealing my secret tickle spots!

Thank you to April for allowing me to participate in tickling you. I'm not sure if you or we were having more fun! And thanks to everyone who participated in that scene for being so attentive and respectful (while still being appropriately sadistic... ;). I'm really glad that we have a community that can make a ticklee feel so comfortable in her first public tickle scene!

Whether or not there is bondage is at the discretion of the lee. Some lees like to cuffed to the bed. Some lees like to held still by their arms and legs. Some lees just like to hold still with willpower. :)

How many lers and who the lers are is also up to the discretion of the lee and the lers that are available and interested in participating. Sometimes tickle scenes will be one on one, and sometimes they will be two or three lers, and sometimes more.

And we a mix of lers, lees, and switches of both genders, so you can find both guys tickling girls and girls tickling guys.

Hooray!!!!!! :woot2: We pulled off our first hotel gathering!

It's been many years since we've had one of these in our region. I feel like our average attendance is finally large enough to be able to plan on renting a hotel suite. I don't figure we'll do it every time - I know the extra cost is an issue for some people, and there is something homey about a home. :triangle:

Even still, I feel like we've reached a new stage in our evolution as a community. Here's to our continued success! :floating:
