Brent and Hamelton carefully walked through the treasure chamber of the pyramide in Egypt looking for the one find that would get them big money on the open market. There were all sorts of pottery, small statues laying about; but nothing jumped out at them.
"There's nothing here. Not a thing!" exclaimed Brent. Hamelton laughed. "You haven't seen the best yet." he replied. Brent sucked in air. "So where is this best you're talking about?" Hamelton motioned Brent to follow him into the next chamber.
The men walked into a large room and just stopped dead in their tracks. The room was filled with jewels, gold relics and swords. Brent went straight for the swords. He picked up one sword after another, each more ornate and beautiful as the next. Then he came across one large sword which was decorated with ornate degins and small hieroglyphics along the back edge of the sword.
"Hey Hamelton get over here and see if you can read this." Hamelton was an expert in reading hieroglyphics and other ancient languages. He looked at the sword and let out a long whistle.
"You have got a real find here! This was the battle sword of the general of the Pharaoh's army." Hamelton was pleased with Brent's find. Brent looked at the sword again and asked about the inscription. Hamelton looked closer and then set the sword down where Brent found it. "There is a curse on this sword. It says "Anyone who steals this sword with die laughing."
Brent laughed. "I don't believe in curses! I'm taking the sword and selling it to the highest bidder." Hamelton scratched his head. "Are you sure you want too do this. The people in this area of the world take curses very seriously."
Brent laughed and took the sword and wrapped it in burlap then placed it in his bag. Then the two men walked in to and their corner of the chamber to look for more treasure.
After finding more valuable artifacts, the two friends decided to call it a day and took their finds and go back to the hotel. Brent took the burlap covered sword and unwrapped it and admired the shining blade. He didn't see the small man near the tip of the blade.
