Cool scene. :D I had never seen it before. I wonder if there are many more of these clips around? I'm assuming there is an actual tickle scene in the original play? Maybe it's time I became a little more "cultured". lol

There's not. And Kate doesn't have a pierced lip in the original, either!

THis was a nice scene. I think they got the idea from the tickling bit in the Raul Julia/Meryl Streep version.

There have been MANY versions of this with tk scenes in them. Must be in the stage directions. Found some other ones from years ago, that predate Meryl Streep. If you google the play and the word "tickle" you will find various mentions.

Actually there is, there are three variations of play that were created through the years (I believe that all three developed while Shakespeare was still alive) and are all considered original, and in one of those Kate's foot get tickled.
If you remember somewhere here is also a clip of Meryl Streep getting tickled in "taming of the shrew" play...

I might add that I often watch "taming of the shrew" plays in my town hoping for tickling :)
Besides that is a good play and I love Shakespeare.
