So I got a half decent DSLR recently (Canon EOS 1100D) and am trying to brush up on my photography skills. Would love some feedback one some of these shots.

Some pretty sweet city photography from where I sit. I'd say you're getting the hang of things rather well!

Great pictures! The first (Greek statue) and third (subway scene) were my favorites. I love black and white photography, beauty it is that it highlights even the most minute texture in full detail, thanks to the contrast of shadow and light.
Although photoshop and such can enhance your B&W photos, I still find using filters (like Cokin) with your DSLR camera in B&W can augment the contrast and enrich the details of the subject. For example, in a snowy environment a filter like red or green can amplify the shadows, while yellow and orange soften the features of a subject highlighted in klieg lights, or spotlights, against a dark background.
