Anybody remember this one?

I remember reading this story a long time ago. Within the story was a moment when a woman was walking along in the woods with a very annoying little fairy. They come upon a huge tree that the woman is reluctant to get close to, but the fairey fly's over to it oblivious to what the tree is. The tree attacks and lowers the fairy into a pod, where her feet are tickled while she's trapped inside the pod. Ring any bells??
