Best wishes for the New Year and next Munch and Play Party (2/1/13)

To all Chicagoland Ticklers (and Ticklees): I hope your holidays were very happy, and that your New Year is filled will lots of laughter!

The first Chicagoland Tickling Anonymous Munch and Play Party for the New Year will be on the evening of Friday, 2/1/13. What a great way to kick off Superbowl weekend! As before, we will meet at a restaurant/tavern on the near north side, and then, for those who want to continue the evening and play, we will adjourn to the nearby SINS Center for a free Free-ky Friday.

For safety and security reasons, the exact location of the restaurant will be given out prior to the event to those who sign up, but, for your planning purposes, it is on the Near North Side, on Touhy in Niles, and there is public transportation available.

The munch starts at 7, and then for those who want to play, we can go to the SINS Center afterward. If you want to go the SINS Center after the munch, you must register separately at the SINS Center here the week before the event at [http://sinscenter.com/homeframe.htm] There is no charge to get in to the SINS Center that night, but you will need to register and bring proper ID, i.e., a driver’s license, and you have to be over 18

so as a newbie who's interested in going to I've of these gatherings, what are these gatherings like? how many propre usually attend? how many are new people coming for the first time? what usually happens at the gathering after dinner? how long does it go on?

Hi blue. That's a bunch of questions! If you have not attended a tkl gathering before, this, IMHO, is a good one to attend. The size is good, i.e., not too large; the group is a nice group of folks and is very welcoming; and, the SINS Center is a good, clean and friendly club.

The best and easiest way to find our what these gatherings are like is to review the prior posts to this group or to the CTA Group on FetLife (see https://fetlife.com/groups/17593 ). Usually, after the events I and/or others who attended post about what happened. To sum up, those who attend usually have a good time!

We have yet to have any propre's show up, but at a good event we have about 15-20 people there. There is typically a good number of newbies at each event.

Dinner goes from 7 to about 9, then most of us head to the SINS Center, and folks hang out to about midnight or so, give or take.
