As many of you know, we recently helped MTPJeff launch a new site called Exploring a Ticklish Subject (http://www.ticklishsubject.com). The motivation behind this was to create a site that is geared specifically toward teens who are interested in this fetish (and other related fetishes), rather than "sending them out into the cold", as Jeff put it. What we don't want to do is tell a section of our community to "go away" because they don't meet an age requirement, and not try to in some way give them the information that they seek in an age appropriate setting.

One of the things that has already been covered in the initial thread is that a decision has been made to have no interactive mediums (chat rooms or forums) on the site to prevent our site from being used to in some way place any of these teens in danger. This should also remove any legitimate liability issues that also seem to be many of our members concerns.

This section of the forum is geared towards giving members of our community a place to comment, suggest things you would like to see added to the site (as well as mention those you don't like as much, be critical, because we all know the teens will be :D) and even offer some of your own experiences that you feel might be helpful to anyone who is going to the site to learn what most of us on the board have already come to grips with.

So please feel free to leave your comments, ideas, and constructive criticism here.

Thanks

Tracy, Ray, Ann & Drew

The site has recent updates. Diet & Eating Disorders has been broken out into two sections, Diet & Nutrition (commentary to come) and Eating Disorders (recently updated, thanks to NJJen).

The Teen Issues Links is pretty much all set now, thanks to Ann & Drew for all of their hard work on this page.

Internet safety now includes a donated story from a concerned parent.

And I fixed the date, so the site now shows the right YEAR for the launch date. These things happen when you aren't interacting with the real world..

Thanks to all for their suggestions and help.

Just wanted to say that the Ticklish Subject site is a great idea. I'm glad this resource now exists for teens. Wish I'd had something like it when I was struggling to come to terms with my feelings about tickling.

Thanks for the kind remarks. We hope to get some updates done soon and add more material to the site.

...for me to add my nickles worth here.

While the site is a great idea...especially since teens need their own web site or internet sites for tickling, do you think that they would actually bring the subject up with their parents asking them to allow them to access tickle sites geared for teens?

Now probably, teen tickle sites are not blocked by Parental Controls on PCs or subject to Parental Lock out options, therefore, the teens would have full access to the site(s) geared for teens and the parents would pay little attention to where their teens are going on the internet since they have blocked all inappropriate material and access.
I am not in any way knocking the site. I think it is a find idea however are your efforts misplaced or gone un-noticed?

No. In fact we have been asked to share links with other self help sites. We originally set the site up to have a place to direct minors away from the TMF and at the same time giving them a place where they
can see that they are not "abnormal" and perhaps learn a little about themselves.

An AMAZING AMAZING idea! Brilliant. And only to repeat what others have said, I wish I had something like this, and you are really helping out kids who feel weird or different. I know there are now schools for homosexual kids and same sex proms; I would feel kind of creepy if there were schools and proms for ticklephiles - that's just too "narrowcasting" for me; but on the other hand if young people who were 'regular' in every other way had a place to go and explore, that would be great. I have been mentioning this in a few posts, and now some good people have made it happen. There's a place for you on my rack any time (call ahead one hour for availablity and directions)!!!!

I think it's an excellent idea! I had several years of worry about my sexuality before finding the community and setting them to rest.

But what happened to the site?

The site somehow disappeared from the server (still not sure how) and hasn't been put back up yet. We've been talking about restarting it. But, health issues and other committments have continued to get in the way.

What I want to know is? How many girls out there from the ages of 18-40 has had raspberries blown on their belly and what it felt like and tell me your stories.

Why is ths site down? I thought it was a tremendous service to the youngsters out there to let them know they were not alone, nor 'perverted freaks' (as I thought I was for the better part of my youth)

As with everything else, developing and maintaining a site takes time. That time was a luxury we no longer had. Simple as that. One day, perhaps.

mostly all teens know how to use the pc or the mac and take off all these parental control, they're not kids.

they should put the section "if you're and emo killed yourself!"
