Daily News reporter Mitch Gray had wanted an exclusive on the situation in Helmand Province and had joined a US patrol in the Sangin district largly occupied by Afghan insurgents. The patrol having been ambushed the three patrol soldiers blindfold were taken to the basement of the house by truck and it became obvious to them all they would be interrogated.
