Awakening of a Sage (Ocarina of Time) (F/F feet)

A cloud slithered across the moon, the stunning silvery veil evoking envious shadows unto the plains. A breeze like a mother's forlorn sigh blew, caressing the barren branches of several stymied trees as they cast the few leaves they harbored aside. The leaves bounced carelessly upon the simple dirt path as they whispered past an ailing fence of spoiled spruce and sagging sinew. Another gust came, ushering the leaves down the rusted road. Without a sound a boot lightly landed upon one leaf and vanished, casting the tiniest puff of dust in its wake.

Silently dashing across the vacant road, the white-clad warrior sped into a field of waist high grass. Just as the cloud crept beneath the moon, engulfing several screaming stars in its hunger, a shadow fell upon several hovering lamps that revealed frayed rags devoid of hues. With a flick of the wrist several daggers flew through the air, scattering the dismayed, pearlescent cries of the stars as they met with their target. Just as the lamp tilted to its side and began falling the warrior leapt into the air, spinning over top the vacant rags while reclaiming a dagger with each hand. Landing no louder than the leaves that drifted waywardly about, the rogue slashed at the back of the second Poe while rolling onto a shoulder and ducking beneath the third. With a quick stab to the back, the final ghost shrieked just as the vagrant took off again, the lamps crashing and crackling long after the mysterious fighter vanished down a nearby hill.

Leaping onto a rock, the warrior hopped again, soaring towards a tree. Brushing against a branch, the figure catapulted further through the air, rolling into a landing before continuing to dash down the sagging slope that spiraled further and further downward. Eventually the hill grew silent, flattening into soft grass that shortly yielded its domain to sand. The black waters of Lake Hylia pawed hungrily at the empty shore while projecting a star splattered mirror image of the faux-tranquil night sky. Trotting towards a small bit of well-tended farmland, the rogue stood tall despite panting heavily. Raising a rag covered arm, the rogue swiped at the strands of cloth that wrapped around its face just as a sapphire song serenaded from behind.

"What kept you?" The words came like the lilting, gentle spout of a waterfall. Shoulders stiffening, the fighter, spun around, spreading its legs apart as a hand wheeled around with several daggers in-between its fingers. Without flinching the tall female Zora crossed her arms beneath her breasts and began tapping her naked, blueish-silver foot. "Well?"

The rogue's arms and neck went limp, its head drooping ever so slightly. Standing straight, the warrior spun the daggers in hand, sheathing them behind its back before speaking soft words in a voice too intentionally full of gravel. "Apologies for the wait, Princess Ruto."

Closing her eyes and sighing, the fish woman shook her head. "Those pathetic words will have to do," her lilting voice chirped gently, the words cresting up and down like calm waves. Flicking an arm, the Zora swiped at her forehead, lifting her right heel as she deposited her weight onto her left. "How has your journey treated you, Prin--" The warrior stepped forward and hissed. "--I'm sorry. Sheik."

Looking down, the rogue's brilliant blue eyes shielded themselves behind their lids momentarily. Seconds later the rag-covered hands rose, untying the cloths that wrapped around her head, scattering about the golden strands that had been concealed. Shaking her head, the carefully spun threads of gold scattered across her smooth cheeks, obfuscating her bright, watery eyes. Like iron being melded into queenly bands in the forge, her supple words sparked out "I've called you here because I am in need of assistance."

Smiling, Ruto pressed a finger at her nose, bending it slightly as she smirked. "You hardly give me enough credit, my dear friend." Nodding towards the lone island in the middle of the shimmering lake, she continued speaking, "I could sense you were unable to awaken your sage abilities. We'll be safer over there." Turning, Ruto caught sight of the woman plucking away at a small golden harp before vanishing. Tilting her head to her shoulder, her smile vanished into a pout. Crossing her arms and tapping her left foot, she shook her head, mournfully spouting "You're just full of surprises," at the vacant air.

Running across the sand, Ruto leapt into the water, slicing through it like a bird through air. Around the edges of the lake, dark blotches of crows scattered from the trees, alerted by the loud swish of water. Within seconds the Zora dove onto the island, a large splash presenting her. Water dripped from the sheening silver scales of the Zora’s flesh as she walked towards the Sheikah that sat underneath the dead tree. The uncrowned princess sat, one leg bent, the other stretched before her, her arms wound behind her head. With a gruff smile the woman flicked her head, looking away as the silver moon washed its fingers through her golden hair. The young woman’s voice grittily called out "What kept you?" Ruto chuckled. Rising, the warrior dusted herself off, her hands remaining on her thighs, gripping tightly as she spoke again, her voice squeaking out, "So how did you do it?" as her eyes lost their militant light.

Pausing, Ruto turned her head, looking at the reflection of the moon in the wavering water. Looking up, she stared at the gem and its jealous siblings for several moments as she crossed her arms, tapping at her elbow. "It's hard to describe. I felt something and embraced it."

Sighing deeply, Zelda shook her head about then brought a hand to her forehead. "You just felt something? That’s it?"

Without flinching or moving, the Zora spoke a simple, almost confused "In..deed."

Rustling her hair, the young woman’s forearm waved frantically as she sprung forward, silently pacing. Turning, she raised a single finger and opened her mouth as if to yell, stalling before throwing both of her hands in her hair as she resumed her pacing. Stopping, she kicked at the ground, water forming in her eyes as she looked towards the sky, exasperated words scraping through her throat. "How?"

Turning back towards the frazzled princess, Ruto crossed her arms again, her tongue lashing at her fellow princess. "You Hylians are all alike, repressing your feelings. Come." Stepping forward, Ruto grabbed Zelda's wrist, dragging her as she moved towards a small device nestled behind the tree.

As they neared the thing Zelda’s left eyebrow drooped, her neck craning down as she looked towards the piece of architecture. The young warrior stared for a moment, her shoulder glancing the Zora’s as she brushed past her. Circling the small wooden structure, she scratched at her cheek before placing her hands on her hips and tilting her head. "What a curious device.” Rubbing at her nose with her thumb, she drawled onward as she continued to pace around the thing. “This doesn’t look like the work of the Zora."

Twisting an arm across her torso, Ruto gripped her elbow, a subtle smile forming as she stepped to the side of the masquerading princess. "It's of Gerudo origin. I'm not sure why they used it but...” she trailed off, stroking the side of her cheek with her middle finger as she stuck her tongue into her cheek. Stretching her arms back, she yawned, quickly creating the remainder of the sentence, “I do know what for." Moving behind Zelda, the Ruto shoved at the shoulder blades that jutted against the woman’s costume. "Sit down."

Crossing her arms, the Hylian tilted her head, cocking her chin upwards as her eyes narrowed to slits. "I'm not sure sitting will be of much help."

Clucking her tongue, the Zora placed her hands upon Zelda’s tense shoulders, her hand snapping to her daggers quickly. Releasing them, the young woman sighed as her arm fell lax. Leaning down, the Zora placed her chin on the woman’s shoulder. "You won't just be sitting. I'm going to invoke an ancient Zora ritual, an enchantment of sorts, not unlike the one the Gerudo use this for.” Stepping forward, Ruto set a hand on the boards that sat at the foot of the device. As she churlishly patted the perpendicular boards, she examined the worn, chipped and scratched device. “We've used this ritual to test you Hylians for centuries, mostly the merchant folk. To see if they’re worthy." One of Zelda's eyebrows raised as she stepped back, scratching at her head. Tilting her head towards the Hylian woman, Zora spoke in a serious voice, her eyelids covering the upper half of her eyes like a shawl. "The participants are sworn to secrecy."

Tucking her chin into her right arm, Zelda placed a hand to her chin, thumbing at her nose repeatedly, her moist, silvery eyes trembling slightly, as though they sought to unravel an intricate puzzle. Dropping her hand, she snapped at her belt, running her fingers around a simple metal hilt as she looked towards the platinum gem the sky dangled above them. Words slowly droned from her, lazily drilling at the chill air that haunted the space between the two women, "And you think this will help?"

Scoffing, the tall Zora threw her hand behind her head, slapping at the gem that drooped from her ear. "I guarantee it will." Running the edge of her thumb down the side of her face, she pressed it into her cheek, her eyes un-focusing as they took in the device. For an instant, she considered the rumors: that the Gerudo had been feverishly practicing their trade more recently despite having honed their craft over the last few hundred years, as though the need for their special skills was at hand. Shaking her head, she dismissed the idle thoughts, her glassy gaze returning to the Hylian.

With a nod, Zelda walked forward, running a hand along the wooden contraption as she looked it up and down. Hesitantly lifting a leg, she hovered there, placing her foot back to the ground, a rambunctious cloud of dust cavorting at the indecision. Sighing, the Zora thrust her hands on her hips as she pointed her forehead at her comrade. Gulping loudly, the Hylian placed a hand onto the small frame, whisking herself into the air, furtively flipping through the air as she landed onto the device. With a flourish Ruto swung apart the pair of boards on the end.

Plucking at her nose, Zelda’s head tilted at an angle as she muttered under her breath. "Curious."

Motioning towards the two indentations, the Zora waited, frustration nipping at her brow, her lips wincing as the young Hylian woman sat still, a look of perplexion milling into her face. As the young Princess sat, furrowing her brows, Ruto clucked her tongue against the back of her teeth, her haphazard words instilled with annoyance. "You'll need to place your ankles here."

Staring for a moment, Zelda sat silently, her ankles shuffling in place as she kneaded the boards with the soles of her boots. Scratching at the underside of her elbow, her voice hesitantly dripped out surreptitious words. "I'm not sure I--"

A sigh of exasperation bounced against the water like a buoy, causing ripples. Leaning forward, the Zora grasped the board’s edge, as she curtly called out, "We must move quickly.” Nodding towards the tree above them, Zelda spun around, looking towards the branch where a lone crow sat, its glowing red eyes piercing through the hazy poltergeist of perished precipitation that murkily floated above them. Cawing, the crow batted its wings, swooping across the lake and up the river that too readily fed the surrounding waters.

With a rough nod, she lifted her feet from the board and placed them into the small slots. Shuffling in place, the uncrowned princess sat back comfortably and at ease, fitting as though she were a missing piece of the machine. Without hesitation Ruto shut the board over top of the Hylian’s ankles, a thunder-like booming-crackle of a thud shaking the air. A nearby owl's body ruffled momentarily before it dropped from a high hanging branch, the boisterous bird gliding and flapping across the lake as a lone gift fluttered from the creature's abdicated throne. Stepping forward Ruto snatched the feather out of the air before swishing behind Zelda, taking her arms and raising them as she took a long length of the woman's wrist wrappings, undoing it, then wrapping her wrists and the tall board behind her. "Is that necessary?" she asked, her voice like cautiously leaping coals in a fireplace.

"Hush." Ruto chirped out as she stole another length of cloth from her captive's neck, shrouding her sparkling eyes into oblivion. Flicking at the woman’s hair, she freed it from the bondage of the bindings, Zelda snapping her head in the direction of Ruto’s hands as they vanished.

Without a word, Ruto shuffled back towards the base of the device. Waving her hands through the air like wicked Wizzrobe, Ruto twisted her hands into a concoction of incantations before fluttering overtop of the Hylian’s boots, easily persuading them that their duty there was finished. As the felled warriors collapsed to the ground, the lifeless leather fading into itself, Ruto secured Zelda's largest toes with a solitary strand of string, attaching the ally to a small ring of metal that extended from the board. "What exactly is it you plan on doing?" Zelda’s trembling voice squeaked out. Shifting her hips, Zelda tugged at her locked ankles, her small, bony feet twisting slightly, her toes wiggling as thick creases arced across her soles like lightning, flashing and vanishing just as suddenly into her supple yet stormy flesh.

Twirling the feather in her hand, Ruto walked to the other side as she rubbed the underside of her lip. Zelda’s head twisted upward as she tugged at her bindings, her fingertips wiggling and gnawing at the cloth. Looking to her right, out towards the lake and away from Ruto, she ushered words towards the coils of fog that lilted upon the water. "I'm sorry, I don't understand this at all." Looking down Ruto caught sight of the Princess's small, glowing feet as they became enshrouded by the moon's silvery sheen. Rallying together, her big toes stretched back, the rest charging after them, one by one in a wave like fashion, the flesh of her soles polished into a fluid cream as they cheered them on during the sendoff. Reaching from behind the board Ruto struck with the feather, slashing right between the princess' second and third toe.

Instantaneously the princess sparked to life like the wick of a candle lit aflame, her lips slamming shut as her shoulders hunched together while she hopped in place. Clutching her toes together, the princess caught the invader tightly with every intent to prosecute him to the fullest. Shaking her united feet as one, she gripped the feather, tossing it from side to side as she rent it from Ruto’s hand. Inspired by the Hylian’s prowess, Ruto stealthily slipped in front of the board, her mocking and impromptu reverence scorching a smirk onto her lips. Cupping her palm around the back of the woman’s heel, the Zora raked the tumultuous, slightly hardened flesh into proper order. Exposing her teeth, Zelda’s elbows fell in front of her face, the board behind her creaking as she ratcheted at it with her wrists. As though the boards warmed her knees, they sizzled and popped up, her ankles twisting as she extended her heels, exposing her arches as her bound toes pinned themselves to one another, flexing backward. Raising her left hand, Ruto split her two longest fingers apart, dashing their tips against the balls of her feet as they jutted out, her other hand relinquishing the heel as its fingers slipped up the sole, plucking the feather free of the toes that held it prisoner. Zelda’s feet began to quiver in place as Ruto latched a pinch around her trembling heels before methodically drawing the feather downward, the temperament of her weapon oscillating between a cool, unfazed perception and one of villainous fury, its quills spreading and slashing wildly across the raging tempest of wrinkles. Lurching forward, Zelda grit her teeth, snorting out a puffy rhythm of subjugated laughter that sought liberation.

As Ruto rubbed her fingers together the feather wafted against the enthralling gales that were Zelda’s soles; the squall took hold, riveting through her legs as she squashed at the brewing insurgency. Pressing the top of her head against the post, her back curved as she shifted onto her hip, her ankles banging at the boards. Her feet crumpled together as they tilted away, deep grooves marring the edges of her soles as ripples dribbled through her arches. Pressing her forehead into her shoulder, Zelda grit her teeth harder, shattering the shadow of a smile that sought to betray her. Grasping the top of Zelda’s left foot, Ruto continued to paint tickles against the Hylian’s supple skin while her toes wiggled, waves of wrinkles rolling down her arch. Clenching her own toes into the sooty soil, Ruto nipped at her tongue, pressing it into her cheek. Her eyes narrowed as they rolled away, watching the water of the lake welcome the moon’s silvery beams to its folded, labyrinthine ripples, the glassy mirror rejoicing and cherishing in the new-found reflection that formed itself. Turning to the convulsing captive, she gently grunted out, "You need to stop fighting it. Let go.”

Out of the corner of her eye Ruto noticed the moon tuck itself behind a thin strand of clouds. Ordering the siege to a yield, the feather withdrew as Ruto stepped back, eyeing the pathetic, panting woman, her face splashed with a smattering of her forbidden, golden sunlight. Closing her eyes, Ruto sank slightly, her shoulders sinking away as she exhaled through the small crevice that forced itself into her lips. Waving her wrists, Ruto conjured a new torrent of turbulence, swiping through the air with the feather, touching the tip against the center of Zelda's right foot. Leaping up, Zelda sucked in air as her feet folded together into a bundle of glistening wrinkles, her chest distending as her shoulders scrunched together, the stockade rocking gently as she tugged her arms down. Several crickets chirped nearby as Ruto let the feather rest, Zelda’s contorted muscles unraveling as she let the chill night seep from her nose. Spreading the toes of one foot, she tightly wound the toes of the other as she twisted her feet in place, frustration creasing her cheeks. Raising her free hand, Ruto brushed the backs of her claws slowly up the foot that flaunted and brandished its toes. Zelda's mouth parted into a wide oval, her teeth clamping down heavily as she swayed in her seat, an elegant eep piercing the clouds above them, forcing the moon to cast off its guise, blasting the two women with stolen light.

Retracting her hand, Ruto began to vigorously dabble the feather up and down Zelda's clenched foot. Falling back with an oaken thud Zelda shifted about, her elbows bending slightly, her fingers leaping and dancing. Hypnotized by the feather's bent shape, Ruto twirled the thing in circles, spiraling it against the sacred, twitching canvas while the woman rendered a symphony of creaking, groaning wood into existence. A faint sensation twanged at the bottom of Zelda’s spine much like a harp’s string that was spun too tightly to the wood. For a moment, the world faltered around Zelda as her ears twitched, her nose wrinkling as the pleasant smell of spring wafted towards her, a distant yet too close light throbbing from behind. Outraged at her disobedience, the feather strung itself down her foot, dispelling the world that had blossomed around her, though the ghost of a budding flower burrowed into her mind.

Shaking her head, Zelda shifted her hips to the right as she drifted to the side, her arms hanging her up as she twirled in the air. Behind the blindfold, she clamped her eyes shut, walling off the sensations that hounded her while expelling traitorous air through the gates of her teeth. The banished feelings shook the gates, banging and rattling against them as they reached through the rusted bars, grabbing at her as they tried to pull her through. As though the sun rose, a light gleamed in the distance, slipping past the growing mob and blinding her with it's familiar, warm gaze. Reaching forward, she tried to catch it, feeling the heat melt through her fingers as the gate shook, threatening to give way. Thunder rumbled above her, her toes calling to her as the feather gently kissed them. Turning, she fled the city walls, leaping onto a small raft. Behind her the gates crashed down, hundreds pouring through the small arch as the raft took off, speeding down a river so fast that she lost sight of the city within a moment. Frantically pulled back to reality by her quivering toes she gasped, her feet feeling as though sparkling lights burst upon them.

Skimming the mostly un-harassed foot, Ruto darted across it with her hand, sifting the dream-like flesh for laughter as she swept back and forth across the center of Zelda's malleable sole. Twisting in place, Zelda tugged hard, pulling herself up as she fell to her right, her feet spinning slightly to their sides, the harrowing rope that bound her toes working its job feverishly. Droplets of sweat began to gather upon her forehead, clustering together into a boisterous heap as she continued to rhythmically cast away pant after well timed pant. Smirking, Ruto began to saw the feather between the big and middle toe of Zelda's foot, the ripping and raking sounds clamoring to join the festival of noise that Zelda strung out with the stockade. Rope rattled through the blank air as leather scraped against itself, the wood weaving out exasperated sighs as it contained the shaking woman. Flicking her hand up like a cobra's head, Ruto began to lightly tap her finger tips against Zelda's soft arch, the Hylian’s head falling forward as she heaved in a lumbering amount of air. In a desperate plea for peace her toes once again locked around the feather, nestling into it as they clung tightly together.

Within Zelda's mind she felt the current rip at her, the storm on her soles reflected in her soul as the sky above her spun into a frenzy, spitting out ferocious bolts of lightning. Electricity burst around her, crackling a tree into a fiery explosion as the tide grew hungry, waves lapping over the large trunks that held her afloat. Despite the swirling mass of grey above her, she could sense rays of light chasing at her from over her shoulder, just out of reach. Water shook the raft, knocking her to her hands and knees as she reached upward, her fingers balling into a fist as they clasped at the void. Beneath her she could see the twine that held the raft come undone, the logs abandoning her to the waves. In an instant, the raft exploded, the logs shooting in several directions as the river reached up to take hold of her. The current clawed at her bare soles as she slashed her arms, struggling to keep herself afloat. Unable to kick her legs, she felt the weight at her ankles drag her down.

Surrendering the feather to the toes that held it so dearly, Ruto took her now free hand and began scraping away at both of Zelda's soles. Tumbling to her side, the boards that held her ankles groaned and whined, the metal hinges screeching in pain. The woman shoved her forehead into her arm, scattering her golden hair into a frenzied gall as she bit at the tattered cloth that wrapped about her shoulders. With a shrill squawk, a Keese battered by, falling upon a branch of the dead tree nearby. Nodding at it, Ruto intensified her assault, her fingers fidgeting rapidly against the woman's pulsing, quivering feet. A shrill gasp parted Zelda’s lips as she shot up, her head falling back against the post that held her arms, the entire frame shaking.

Muddy black water drowned out Zelda's senses, the tingling pricks at her feet glowing beneath her, lighting her imagination. The feelings swarmed her mind, the shadowy water dulling the awareness of the rest of her body. No matter how much she swatted at the current it only grew haughtier, claiming more and more of her until her feet hoarded all of her attention, forcing themselves to the center of her world as their itchy flesh blazed scarlet streaks across her mind. Flapping her arms, she desperately struck blow after blow against the current, the tightness at her ankles growing heavier as she was pulled deeper into the invisible forces surging around her. Looking up, she caught sight of the light bouncing off of the waves, failing at piercing the depths. Suddenly the storm calmed, the itching that screamed for laughter subsiding. Tilting her head up, she swam upwards through the calm, easily ascending towards the golden light as she swatted for it, the thing slipping through her fingers with each grab. With one desperate leap she lurched forward, clapping both hands around the light, watching it fizzle out of existence as she shut her hands. As the brilliance scattered through her fingertips her mouth was ripped open by dismay, quickly displaced by the raging waters that sought to stifle her laughter. Opening her eyes to the darkness of the blindfold, the tightness around her face faded as she sat up, huffing gloriously acquitted air.

As though the blindfold was cast aside she could sense the world around her, vacant shapes coming together to form the world around her. In front of her a mass of light slimmed its edges, forming into Ruto's shape as it knelt down. Her neck tightened, her shoulders collapsing while her wrists gnawed at the rope that held them. The world seemed to slow as she could feel a warm breeze riddle her feet, an unwelcome smile claiming her lips. Leaning in, Ruto brushed the tip of her upper lip against the middle of Zelda's foot, plucking a silken kiss against the sacred flesh. With all of her might, Zelda cast her head over her shoulder, shaking the frame behind her as her arms wailed back and forth. A slimy warmth creased up her sole like a snail and Zelda's body rattled, her torso trembling as a blinding heat claimed it. At once she felt a thoroughly warm weight balloon into the upper ends up of her cheeks, a boisterous smile painted onto her lips. Tugging in her lower lip, she bit down, her teeth protruding the wicked smile that curved into her heated cheekbones. The current clamored to life around her, sweeping her downwards, her stomach tightening into a thick knot as her shoulders fell, relaxing. Laughing loudly, she shook in place, the streak of wet claiming the edges of her quivering big toes, unable to protect themselves as the rope held them tightly to their torment.

Unable to muster the desire for strength to fight the tide any longer, she felt herself float upwards while her mouth betrayed her. Breaking the surface, she laughed boldly, loudly, the sensations in her feet welling up inside of chest, taking root and filling her with lovely warmth. Squinting slightly, she looked up, a wonderful smile claiming her lips as she basked in the tingling upon her soles. Crossing her arms beneath her breasts, she cupped her hands together as the light within her pooled there, spilling and throwing rivulets of the liquid-gold into the water around her. Like a petal on the wind, the sun’s loving ray fluttered downward, landing within her hands as she gently closed them over top of it, feeling the power of ages spread through her, a blazing beam piercing her hand and heart. As though the ray of light cast winter aside, a pleasant warmness soaked through her, the now gentle current of the river carrying her towards a sunrise. Around her she felt the world shift, the wicked darkness banished around her as a bright light took her into its bosom, wrapping her in safety. Distantly she felt the petals of the tightly knotted flower from before unfurl as they soaked in the light.

Stepping backwards, Ruto shielded her eyes as the bound Hylian became engulfed in a sacred light. As though the ravenous night devoured it so fast it had never existed, the light vanished. Blinking, Ruto looked up, the woman before her now clad in a brilliant, long and flowing dress of purple and white, her feet guarded by shimmering purple high-heels. A golden triangle pierced through the long glove that sheltered her hand. Momentarily flickering between her current guise and that of the wanderer, Sheik’s, Zelda closed her eyes, slowly exhaling as her new form settled into existence, though the straps that held her eyes and arms captive remained. Panting through a smile, she wiped her forehead against her shoulder, a light giggle emanating against the empty air. Taking a hand to her chin, Ruto nodded, smiling as she stepped past the tall wooden barrier. Closing her eyes, Zelda took in a deep breath, her steely, commanding voice hammering out "Stop." Stepping back, Ruto's eyes narrowed as a second, smaller flash came, dismissing the heels upon the Princess's feet, recklessly revealing those silver stained slices of gold. Briefly flickering between her two personae again, she came to rest in her queenly attire, the faint shadow of doubt marring the edge of her lip as it twitched. Raising her sharp chin regally, her mouth moved quickly, quietly, as though in memory of the ousted warrior. “You’ve unfinished work.”
