Deep in the jungles of Australia, an old aboriginal tribe untouched by civilization has been found and has one of the most bizarre and interesting customs ever found. On the first Full moon of every year an initiation of sorts takes place for the females of the tribe on their 18th birthday. On that day, all of the 18 year old females are presented bound hand and foot and are tickled by all the other members of the tribe. The females are willing participants as they are released about every other hour, and then return to their place to be tied and tickled again. This continues all day long and at the end of the day, there is a feast.
On the following day it is the males turn. All day long, all the males of the tribe are free to tickle all the young women as much as they like and that evening there is another feast and celebration.
On the third day it is the women's turn. All day long they have their way with the initiates and appear to be less compassionate than their male counterparts, relentlessly tickling the young women. On the evening of the third day at the end of the feast, a single girl is chosen by the tribe as the new servant of the chief.
The chief has at his disposal 4 woman ages 18 to 22. Every year a new girl is chosen and the 22 year old woman is given back to the tribe to live out the rest of her life usually greatly revered and honored for her service to the chief. She usually gets to marry the most eligible bachelor of the tribe as soon as she finishes her 4 years of service.
Before she is done though, after the three days of initiation and the choosing of the new recruit, she would get 3 full days with the chosen woman. During these three days she would tickle the new girl 4 times a day, for an hour each session. She is usually relentless.
On the seventh day the other 3 women get their turn. Each girl will get to join the chief tickling the new member of their group during their assigned session. And in the evening the new girl will fill her own one hour time slot with the chief alone.
After her week of intense transitioning to her new role she will live her life normally but will report to the chief for her daily session. She also may be requested to attend the session of another servant girl to join or replace the chief as tickler. During her first year, her time slot will be in the evening, the second year, in the afternoon, the third year at mid-day, and in her last year, she will report first thing in the morning. One hour every day being tickled by the chief and/or one, or several of the other servant girls.
Nobody knows how long this custom has existed but the entire tribe seems to look forward to the custom much like we look forward to Christmas and New Year's. It is also common to see big smiles on the villagers faces as they walk past the chief's tent hearing the cries of laughter coming from the girls throughout the day.
