The Blue Feather of Happiness – M/F Feet

Or – alternate title that I liked more, but kind of want to use somewhere else --

Blessing of The Harvest Goddess -- M/F Feet

Another weird one, but I guess all of mine are. This is – supposed – to be based on/in or inspired by/around Harvest Moon, where – in the early games – the marriage/proposal item is a blue feather.

---

A wisp of smoke snarled from the end of the pipe that hung loosely from the man's lips. He let out a crooked smile as he took it away, dabbing the end at the fawn-eyed farmer that glazed over his wares. "I know that look," the bearded shop-keep muzzled out. Reaching beneath his stall, he bore forth a small, laboriously wrapped piece of cloth. Unfurling it, he unveiled a long, periwinkle feather. With a quick tap of his middle finger upon the table, he blew a puff of smoke at the farmer. “’Round these parts, this is how one shows affection.” Lowering his pipe to his shirt, he raised the end of it and rubbed it against the bowl. “Ah, that’s right, that’s right. You’re not from ‘round here.” Placing the stem of the pipe back within his lips, he leaned down onto his elbow and began puffing words through the smoke that lacerated the air.

---

It began, as most things do, not at the beginning nor at the ending of any particular story, but rather as the punctuation of a distracted moment. A brawny man, dressed in jean overalls of blue, had broken away from his caravan of fellow settlers and headed deep into a forest in search of food. In the crisp autumn he gathered bright red mushrooms while the trees cried out dried, golden leaves above and around him. The clear, brisk air whistled and sank around him, and as he walked in circles the moon rose, its chariot leading the sky a dismal purple. Stopping at a pond, he paced back and forth for a while, his steps landing quicker and louder with each passing. His breathing grew erratic and his face crumpled, and with a great yell he reeled back and threw one of his prizes into the water, breaking the silver sheen that reflected the trees above that carefully guarded the inner world of the pond.

The water rippled, and to his surprise, a woman fazed into existence before him. She floated above the water, her arms extended outward at their elbows and her palms pointed upwards. Appearing with a bowed head, she slowly looked up. Flitting her eyes open, she revealed the bright green jewels that she had hidden away. Behind her, her sea-green hair flowed and wavered in constant motion like a waterfall. A golden mushroom appeared in front of her breast and she smiled, tilting her chin towards him.

Thumbing the end of his blue cap upward, the man stepped backward and placed his hands on his hips as she blew angelic notes towards him, her words buzzing like the chittering bugs that surrounded him while nourishing him with its cool, water like qualities. "Did you drop this?" she asked politely, her opaline breath winding around him like an artic breeze.

Shaking his head, he stared into her eyes, his jaw hanging downward as he drew in raspy breaths. With a smile like the morning sun, she beamed at him before uttering tones that wafted around him like silver snow. "For your honesty, I shall grant you one wish." Lifting her arms, she pressed her palms together before her as a branch above her rattled. The sharp fluttering of a bird's wings shivered through the night air while a streak of blue zoomed through the canopy, leaving a single tailfeather to sob slowly through the air in its wake. Pale, bare flesh peeked from beneath her dress and she levitated downwards. Landing upon the water, she spread her arms wide, her fingers curved and slightly above her small shoulders. Upon landing, her dress wavered over the jade color that claimed her toe nails.

Without thinking, he simply blinked and spoke out in earthly tones, "I wish to spend more time with you." Smiling sheepishly, her cheeks warmed to rose colored hues and a smile clasped her lips, digging a dimple into her left cheek. Touching the middle finger of her left hand to her lips, she nodded and lowered herself slowly onto her knees, shifting her feet behind her. The moon seemed to grow dim as the silver light that enamored her soles flickered into being, growling and startling the night away. A ghostly aura spiraled around her, undulating like the lapping waves of an ocean. Clasping her hands together, she spun her fingers into one another and pressed the clump of flesh into her lap before drawing in a long, lovely breath while a warm smile fastened across her lips.

For an endless amount of time he stared into her eyes, drowning in them while she in turn was chained to the earthly realm through his. Though lost in time as they were, the world around them continued to bubble and churn. Several frogs strummed up their choir and a flock of small, black birds huddled together in the branches above them, chirping quietly amongst themselves lest they interrupt the symphony the frogs strung together. The blue feather, meanwhile, orchestrated its own mission. It pointed and fell like a conductor's baton. It flitted and flipped through the air before laying down over top of the goddess' right foot, stretching across her gentle, wrinkled flesh. Its quill pricked her heel while the vane swiped up the middle of her foot before nestling between her second and third toes.

Her shoulders immediately tightened and her eyes doused their light as she extended her neck upwards, inhaling a sharp sniff of a throaty giggle. At once the man's eyes fell to the feather that dared lay siege upon her flesh. With a gasp, he leaned forward and pinched the vile beast to pluck it away. In a swift, abrupt motion her thumb and finger pinched around his wrist, and though he tugged with all of his might he found himself unable to move his hand. Looking back up into her eyes, she seemed to chain his spirit and draw him into her realm as she slowly nodded a no. With a whimsical smile, she tilted her head as a searing heat burrowed within his backside and along his shoulder. At once he felt as though he rested within a great, holy spa, his aches and pains drained out of him. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw her ethereal aura extend around him. Closing her eyes, she smiled while her radiance warmly prickled against his skin. "This is the will of the earth," she whispered out, her steamy breath pouring over him.

The heat invaded his entire body as she tugged him closely. Her slow, moist breath cascaded down his backside like warm summer rain. The vice grip that held his wrist vanished and his shoulder was claimed by the oppressive, wonderful heat as she drew him closer, his weight disappearing as he hovered above the water. His eyelids flickered and he felt the feather twirl within his fingers of its own accord, striking her too-vulnerable flesh.

Lifting his hand, he gently grazed the tip of the feather back and forth across the direct center of her foot. The feather resisted his urgings as the vanes fanned out, grasping wildly at her skin. He swept carefully as though he gently brushed away soil, excavating a rare treasure forgotten to humans. In a ruffle of a shiver her shoulders grew tense against him and she gripped him tightly as she snuffed her forehead into his shoulder with a shiver. Her meek yet powerful voice sailed against him with a barely audible, drawn out “no…” as her shoulders scrunched towards her ears. Pelting him with quick stabs of exhales, she shifted erratically as the feather crested over the wrinkles of her foot, a jolt dashing through her hip as she swept to the side. Her stomach bucked and she gasped quietly as he traced a small, greedy circle into her.

Drinking in the scents of lilac and lavender that smoked from her supple body, he peeked over her backside at those glorious treasure troves, entranced by their glistening, pure beauty. An ache resounded with him as he looked on at them, and he watched as the feather whittled away at her with a depraved sense of loyalty. It seemed to whisper unto him its own desires, guiding his hand and allowing the tool to become a blessed extension of his soul. The feather silently beseeched him, as it wept against her skin, to imprint into her soles a carnal hunger so that they might embrace their true purpose. With a warm yet wicked smile he nodded, his pace hastening.

Gripping into him still tighter, she pushed the top of her sea-like head into his chest. A broad and divine smile blossomed along her glowing lips, betraying her teeth to the cool night air. Edging the feather downward, he struck at her arch as though the tool were a blade. Slicing along the outer edge of her foot, he allowed it to fall on its flat side and drink in more of her flesh at once. Inhaling sharply, she quickly gasped, the air that tumbled within her throat escaping her with a ringing laughter like the sound of flowers budding through dew-laden soil.

The wrinkles upon her feet grew and rippled as she slowly clenched her toes shut, their haughty green toenails plaguing him. Swaying back and forth, she dribbled giggles as the feather arced and raced up her foot, though malcontent stained his hand. The feather murmured its hushed tones against her flesh, grating quietly in the dusk about its disappointment of the state of her toes. He agreed, and soon they assaulted them together, running overtop and around them as quickly as a salmon leaping a waterfall.

Color drained from her fingers as she grasped his shoulders and shook him, a quiet, cheerful sob escaping her lips. “No... please...” she moaned, her voice brilliantly warm like the golden setting sun. The fringes of the feather split apart, quietly kneading all around and in between her toes as he let the feather babble like a brook, whittling out a loving song against her flesh. Within moments her toes broke rank, wiggling independently as they fled, allowing the feather to further broach her flesh, leaping across the stalks of her toes.

Her giggles turned to wild, untamed laughter that reverberated with the forest, blending into and becoming its breath. Suddenly her untouched foot began to twitch wildly, pointing and flexing before diving across her other foot. With great glee, he claimed this new-found flesh. Her head immediately reeled back and she cackled out a great, throaty “Ahahaha!”

Flapping both of her feet wildly, they spun about at her ankles and pointed every which way. The tops of her feet slapped at the water, sending a small spray of glistening, silvery sparkles into the air. Bubbles rose from the bottom of the small pond, popping at the surface. A long, leafy vine broke through the water and slowly slithered over top of her ankles. Stunned, he sat back as she inhaled a great amount of air and looked over her shoulder, her hair scattered into a wild mess. Smiling pleasantly, she watched as the vine wrapped around her ankles, binding them together.

A flutter of wings resounded from above and several birds began chirping and cawing in a reclusive manner, as though to keep their conversation to themselves. A blue feather spun downward through the air while another wafted slowly back and forth, racing to catch up with its brethren. A third crashed sharply from above the other two. Turning downwards, he watched as the feather came to rest on top of her toes while tiny vines slithered between them. The two remaining feathers landed upon her heels, rolling and laying flat across beautiful feet while the vines reigned her toes backward into submission, smoothing the wrinkles of her flesh into a glittering, jewel clad embodiment of the night sky.

Giggling and twitching as the feathers rolled gently landed on her feet, she turned to him and smiled. “This, too, is the will of nature,” she spoke in simple words. Around them, the trees seemed to shake in tune with her voice as though it came from them. His eyes fell back to her feet as she snuggled into him, pressing her cheek into the space between his shoulder and chest. Snapping up the weapons, he tucked them between his fingers, flaying at her feet with his new-found claws.

Immediately she squealed with laughter, her eyes pinching tightly shut. Around him the world faded. Wind spun through the trees and grass, shaking them wildly as if the world wildly regaled alongside and against her. With every fiber of his being he assaulted her feet, worshiping them with complete devotion while whipping them into a frenzy. As she cackled and cried out, a golden light grew around her, casting the wicked night out like the dawn. Tears bubbled against her eyes as she helplessly quaked within his rocky arms. Jubilations blossomed upon her feet as he swept over them time and again, revealing the secrets that they had hidden away for millennia. The gentle kiss of the feathers mulled her into a blissful state of agony that felt like a river of molten fire rolling over a glacier.

Embracing it, she welcomed the golden light that swelled within her and spilled out of her through glowing cracks. She smiled passionately and wept with a secretive joy, hugging into the man tightly as her laughter crackled with the fiery reigns of a moan. Lifting her head, she subdued her laughter and pecked at his forehead even as the feathers nipped into her flesh with all of their fury. A blast of white light blinded him and he flew backwards, rolling upon the soil and kicking up tufts of grass. He rubbed at his eyes, clearing them of the fog that had overtaken them. Blinking, he let his hands fall from his face and looked down to see the blue feathers glowing with the golden light of the dawn. Before him, the vacant waters of the pond rippled from the middle. Looking around, he saw no sight of the woman. An ecstatic rabbit happily hopped into a bush beyond the large tree to his left, and the birds fluttered away with thin, wiry smiles on their beaks. The wind seemed to patter about him, whipping around his neck in such a way that he swore he heard her warm, water like voice graze his ears with a “Thank you.”

As he rose, he saw a glint scatter about from a tall tuft of grass near the pond. Moving towards it, he gathered the feathers in his left hand and gracefully hovered over the grass. As he leaned over, he saw the powdery golden mushroom laying upon its side. A heated smile crossed his lips as he gently lifted the foodstuff, its body seeming to pulsate with the same light that she had. Brushing it against his lips, he closed his eyes and listened to the scents of lilac and lavender that lingered around him before placing the mushroom into the soil. Turning, he walked ahead gallantly, snatching up his knapsack as he followed a path that the bushes and grasses seemed to shy away from.
