For me these shoes were great also as Chemists often have a problem that when organic solvents spill on them that it tends to dissolve their shoes. Not a good thing. These shoes use polyurethane which is not only light but resistant to most organic solvents. :)

A good chemistry lab should have concrete floors with a wooden step by the hood so that the chemist can work comfortably. Unfortunately many labs do not have this. :(
