I was in a similar position at my old company. I was essentially the supervisor for two technicians. One worked really hard, the other hardly worked. So she got so bad she actually took naps most of the day and so I had to report her.

Its possible but I am just naturally skpetical. I know in one instance they were taking ocean tempertaures by taking samples from the ocean and taking the temperatures in the engine room which was exceedingly hot. It through all the temperatures off by about a 0.5 degree. Enough to skew things to look like ocean temperatures were getting very warm.
