ICQ (http://www.icq.com/). I had it several years ago and if I remember correctly instead of a username being your email address like with Yahoo or a screenname you choose like with Skype, it assigns you a number. My parents eventually got rid of it because it caused too many problems with their computer.

Yes its a masive being. Not in the best of health though. Crystalline beings can often grow quite large depending on the quantity of minerals available. :)
