Psycho Beach party

There was a big tado when the trailer came out last year for this movie as it showed a girl on a beach chair being aparrently tickled by two men.

The movie is on Showtime this month and it actually has two scenes, both very brief. The above mentioned and an earlier on where two boys are holding the girl standing up by her arms. One says to give her the chinese tickle torture (my apologies to our asian friends and those of you who wish to be historically acurate! LOL!) A boy runs up on her and rubs her belly with his hair (she's wearing a bikini) and then tickles her sides with his fingers for a few seconds.

Again, two short scenes but available in the mainstream. BTW, I believe the young ticklee is the same red-head now seen on HBO's Six Feet Under.

The word is actually "todo" (pronounced "tadu") and it means a big fuss, a big deal.

I have an interesting story regarding this! Psycho Beach Party was originally a play and we did it at our college, with my GIRLFRIEND playing the lead, Chicklet! That scene with the "chinese tickle torture" is in the play! But the director of our version didn't have him tickle her with his hair (as is written in the script) but had two guys pick her up by her legs and her arms while another one tickled the hell out of her belly and underarms! I worked on the crew and saw this EVERY night, plus rehearsals. I used to get a knot in my stomach whenever the part came up! Plus, the guy would change his tickling style from night to night-sometimes savagely grabbing her by the waist, sometimes spidering his fingers up around her armpits but it was really something to see! Best part, my girlfriend would TELL me about it (knowing my proclivity!) every night!

I also once posted a true story about this girl being foot tickled on the train by the train conductor, for those who might remember, it's the same girl as described in that story.

Anyhow, thanks for the info!! Knowing that scene in the play, I was meaning to check it out...also, the play is often performed with a guy in drag as the lead role, so I wasn't sure if the movie was like that. Who plays the girl?

This flick's on Cinemax tonight at 12:30 EST for those who are interested . . . it sounds pretty cool, I'll have to see if my local discount video store carries it.

For those in the Northeast--I'm posting on Wed 8/15. This movie is on The Movie Channel tonight at 9PM. I hope it's good. I have a feeling that Non-Tkl's play was better.

I am wrong. Or I should say that the TV Program that comes with my local newspaper is wrong. Instead of "Psycho...." they are now going to show "Talented Mr. Ripley". What a waste!
