Pokemon Creators Furries?

I've been watching a lot of Pokemon challenges lately and notice that there seems to be load of sprites where the bottom of the paw/foot is displayed broadly.

Are the Pokemon Creators all furries or something? I can see why there is such a prevalence of Pokemon tickle art out there lol
