As the season progressed, the Good Guys played well, winning games with regularity to ease into first place. Then, as had become their custom, they hit a big slump, and there was a disasterous road trip to New York that included being swept in back to back three game series at Shea and Yankee Stadiums by the Mets and Yankees. Gardner could understand being swept by the champion Yankees, but to be taken to task by the last place Mets infuriated him, and induced a tirade from him after the third game. To make matters worse, the fans at both parks, as was usually their custom in New York, were very frisky, and taunted the Good Guys with signs of "Tickle This", poking fun at the back page headlines of "Tickle Team comes to town." After both series finales at Yankee and Shea, the team was doused with bags of feathers from the upper decks of both parks. Needless to say, the team was thrilled when they returned to Paradise for a nine game homestand. The first series was to be played against the Mets, and the story of that game was not so much the game, but the very famous face who was in the front row during the game. Mega superstar Jennifer Lopez was in the VIP front row section taking on the game, while her fiance, Ben Affleck, as was his custom, was gambling in the casinos of the Bahamas. The Good Guys made the fans, Gardner and themselves feel better by posting a solid 6-3 win that included great starting pitching, stellar relief by Moore and Watts, and a big homerun. After the game, Lopez appeared in the clubhouse to visit with Kate Hudson, who was a friend. As they were giving the poatgame interview about the game, J LO asked her friend Kate Hudson: "Katie, what is this tickle thing I hear rumors of that you guys do?" Kate smirked: "It's our way of loosening each other up during a long season, I didnt understand it until I came here too, but it's fun" "Can a fan get involved?" J LO whispered. "I think old Jimmy would burst a blood vessel, but come by the room tonight and we'll definitely let you join in, I'm sure the guys would love to have you" Kate said. "Ben wont notice I'm gone anyway, he's too busy with his gambling" That night, after the game, J Lo visited the hotel where the Good Guys kept rooms during the season. After having drinks with Mitch, Watts, Hudson, Moore and others, J LO said: "I want to be involved with this tickling thing you guys are so famous for" "How ticklish are you, J LO?" Mitch asked. No! NO! Then, they asked J LO: "You okay?" "Yah, I'm fine, I can handle more, I'm a bit tired but hanging in there" J LO said. With the stamp of approval from J LO, the team took out their array of tickle instruments, using fingers, feathers, and electric toothbrushes on J LO's feet and toes as she became more and more beserk. She squealed with girlish laughter and flexed, pointed, and wiggled her toes wildly, finally getting to the point where she said enough was enough: Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe! NO! NO! I Give up! RED! RED! hehehehehehehehehehehe! This was a new one, the team had never had a lee who they had tickled to the safe word before. Then again, J LO was not used to their tickle exploits. As their famous fan lay panting on the bed from exhaustion she said: "Oh my gosh, you guys plum wore me out, I cant believe you do this every night" "Not every night, but on a regular basis, we're used to it" Watts told J LO. Then, a key opened the door and in walked Gardner: "Oh my gosh, I see you've gotten our famous fan of the evening" He said with a laugh. Then another man entered the room and he was not laughing, Ben Affleck had come up from the casino and saw his fiance tied to the bed: "What the hell is going on here? What are you doing J LO, what are you guys doing to my girlfriend?!" He snapped. "Hi, honey, ah they were giving me the special treatment of the team" J LO tried to say innocently. "Oh, yes, tickle team from Paradise Island, I've heard rumors of you guys. I cant believe you would participate in this J LO, and you Gardner, what kind of a manager of a professional baseball team are you anyway? Allowing them to particpate in this on a regular basis" Ben snapped. "I wasnt happy about it at first either, but what can I do? They like it, and we're successful due to it, they claim it loosens them up" Jim said. "Well, I dont like it, and I'm very unhappy that my fiance would participate in this perverted shit, I want you to fine these perverts!" Affleck said, his voice rising. "Ah, Ben honey, I dont think you're one to talk, the nights out with the strippers dear?" She said. "I thought we were past that, is this your way of getting back at me?!!" He snapped. "No, its just fun, and I wanted to try it, no one forced me to do this, and when I had enough they stopped" "I cant fine them for anything, Ben, she did it willingly, and this is the way of this team, we are agreed that as long as they perform on the field, the tickle fetish poses no problem" Gardner said. "Okay, Iam still not happy about this, but there's nothing I can do, just please untie my lady so we can get out of here" Ben said. With that they did, and J Lo put her clothes back on. As she kissed her friends Kate and Naomi goodbye she said: "I had fun, and it was great seeing you again as always, we need to get together again, under ah different circumstances" With that J LO and Ben left with Ben shaking his head and muttering: "Sick fucking perverts" To that Watts and Kate giggled and the guys were like :"Who's next?" "Oh no not tonight, I think you guys have had enough tickling for one night" Watts said.
