The Good Guys sailed into another season following their latest World Series Championship. With Diane Lane, Kate Hudson, Mandy Moore, and Naomi anchoring the pitching staff, and Mitch and his co horts lighting up the volcanic Good Guy offense, it seemed that the Good Guys had another awesome season to look forward to. Opening Day was in Paradise Island against the Chicago Cubs. With their dominant pitching staff, Gardner knew that his vaunted offense could not expect to score many runs, so he stressed pitching in the pre series scouting meetings. Their first two pitching opponents would be Kerry Wood on opening day, followed by Mark Prior, two guys who could really bring the heat. Opening Day in Paradise was on the first Monday afternoon in April. It was a gorgeous sunny day, and with a sellout crowd of close to 60,000 in the stands, the team was fired up. In the early innings of the ballgame, opening day starter Kate Hudson was pitching well. She was nicked for an early run, but the Good Guys tied it in the 6th. Wood was dominant, and although it was early in the season, his manager let him stay in. In the bottom of the 8th, with the score tied 1-1, Mitch came up. Wood made one mistake, and Mitch made him pay, drilling a 400 foot homerun to dead center field to give the Good Guys the lead. Kate came out after 8 solid innings, and Mandy and Naomi finished up in the 9th, for a 2-1 win over a truly great pitcher. The crowd was ecstatic.
In Game 2, Alicia Silverstone got the ball against Mark Prior. again, pitching dominated. Silverstone was excellent for 7 innings, again followed by Mandy and then Naomi, and the Good Guys got a base hit in the bottom of the ninth to win 3-2. Two great wins over two top notch pitchers, and the team was feeling awesome.
In the meantime, Gardner was recovering nicely after his winter of rest following his heart attack, and heart surgery. Again, the same rules from the previous year applied. Tickling was the symbol of the team as long as it was winning, which it was in the early going. In spite of one loss in the opening week, the Good Guys were in high spirits when they convened at the hotel on the first Saturday night of the season for their first party of the year. That night, the team traveling secretary, a very attractive girl named Cindy, and a bartender who knew the team from all their nights at the hotel, joined the team at their party. The alcohol flowed freely, and eventually, the bartender and traveling secretary, neither of whom had ever been victimized at any of the team's tickle nights, became the targets on that evening. Eventually, everyone ended up in a suite, and the bartender and secretary were getting very flirtatious with the male members of the team. By now, Naomi had gotten over or at least tried to contain her jealousy if Mitch tickled another woman that had to do with the team. So, as everyone was together, Mitch couldnt resist jabbing the secretary and the bartender: "So, are you guys going to be our next tickle victims?" "Oh, sure. Go for it, I dont care" The secretary said, while the bartender added: "Well, I'll go for it if everyone else will" With that, the secretary and bartender stripped to their bra and panties and were tied hands and feet to the bed. Once tied, Mitch began the tickle on the secretary's neck with fingers as she began to squeal and writhe around: Hehehehehehehe! NO! Then, Mitch went down, tickling the secretary on her underarms and sides as more laughter and writhing commenced: Hehehehehehehehehe! NO! Following that, Mitch tickled the secretary on her inner thighs, causing her to buck. Then, down to the soles of her bare feet. Mitch first tickled the secretary on her soles with fingers, and then proceeded to tickle her with feathers, ice, and the electric toothbrush on her soles and under her toes. This drove the secretary beserk! She flexed, pointed, and wiggled her toes as she pleaded for mercy: Hehehehehehehehehehe! I give up! NO! NO! NO! Hehehehehehe!
