Hello all. I don't usually post here but this is the only way I can think of to reach those having a problem accessing tickletheater.com.
The site is experiencing somewhat widespread problems with people getting Unknown Host errors as if the site did not exsist at all. They are working on this problem and hopefully it will be cleared up soon. For now you can access via the IP addy,
http://69.56.237.142/
I will drop a note here when all is well again so you dont need to keep checking. I hope this message reaches at least some people who are thinking that our forum is lost.

Hope they fix the problem soon! I was starting to think something very bad had happened. Like you were gone... That would suck! =[

Thanks for the IP address and the post!

Jeff

Being a member and frequent visitor of Tickletheater, I too have experienced problems in accessing the site in recent times. Now it doesn't seem to work at all... :-(

I hope they are able fix the problem...

Let's not panic. This has happened before. I remember going through a big bout of non-access in July. The site was inaccessable for a couple of days, then the problem cleared up. Let's just stay vigilant.

This was posted in 2003, you can see the posting date at the top of each post. I don't know what's up with TT, but it's not related to this post by Nessonite.

Their domain is up for sale: http://www.buydomains.com/premium/search_results.jsp?keyword=tickle

Looks like they bit the dust.

There is nothing wrong with the site, nor is the domain up for sale.

Theater's domain is www.tickletheater.com

The one for sale is www.tickletheatre.com

If you were experiencing problems there it was probably due to regular maintenance. Everything is working fine for me.....

I have belonged from the beginning. In fact, the owner and I tossed ideas around before he began it. He is a good guy and has a great site.

I do not post under venray there as I dont want to mix the 2 forums so to speak.... ;)

Works for me. Of course, to bypass the "I accept" screen, I just type in www.tickletheater.com/forum.php? right into the browser. Maybe you should all try that?

This was a really old thread that has no bearing on how tickletheater is running. The site is fine. There is nothing wrong....

Why don't you guys just lock the thread so it stops coming back from the dead? I posted this while it was still in the #1 spot on the thread count, by the way.

I hope that it's not serious...what a loss to our community! I'll keep my fingers crossed...and my wife's toes too!

Although I see that this is an old thread, resurrected at least a couple of times, tickletheater has been inaccessible for me all day. The IP address given in the first post of this thread doesn't work either. So I guess they are very much down at the moment.

They're back!

I apologize for that. This one has no idea why, although it a similar phenomenon happened a few days ago if I remember correctly... Hopefully stable today it will be...

Seems to be down again.

And now back up. Must've been a server hiccough, eh?

And down yet again. Although this time there's a Christmas greeting with a message saying it's being updated and will be back "soon", but no indication whether "soon" means later today or next week or in a month. So I don't know how long it'll take me to get in to read the private message I got notification of in my email this morning. Oh well....

'Tis up now. The bossman was updating the board software and giving the site a new look he was.

Thanks for the heads up. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered checking it again today.

Feel free to shoot me a PM or email if it is ever down. Being an Admin there, I might (Much emphasis on the might.) be able to either fix a problem or (More likely) contact the serverman to have it fixed.
