Loss of innocence was a favorite theme of Dave 2112. Unfortunately, How To Kidnap Friends And Influence Captives is absolutely pandering in terms of 2112's usual Minimalist politics. In the following paragraphs, evidence will be presented that clearly demonstrates How To Kidnap Friends And Influence Captives's Dadaist overtones and views on reason are not evidence of 2112's surrender to immortality. Support for this claim is present in the following: (a) 2112's adversarial relationship to the 20th century Constructivist school of Italian literature while writing the book, (b) the Dadaist theme of social commentary in How To Kidnap Friends And Influence Captives, and (c) the author's portrayal of the supernatural, showing the influence of the the conservative school.
