The vote is open for the 2003 Golden Feather Awards!

Hello folks!

Below you will find the final ballot for the 2003 Golden feather awards. But first the rules:

There are two ways to vote this year.

1) Copy the ballot into an e-mail, delete all the nominations in each catagory but the one you wish to vote for, and send it to me at [email protected] Include your TMF user name with the vote. These will be counted as secret ballots, no one but me (Myriads) will see them.

or

2) If secrecy is not important to you, you can reply directly to this thread. Copy the ballot into your new post and delete all nominations in each catagory but the one you want to vote for. Post it, and your choices will be added to the vote tally. These posts will end up being marked as 'edited' after I count them, when I add a note that it's been counted directly to the post.

In both cases, if you leave more then one nomination in a catagory we will not record a vote for you in that catagory. If you do not wish to vote in a catagory simply delete it in total from your ballot. If you vote more then once, only your first vote will be counted.

Regretfully,I had to pass on some of the categories due to my shameful unfamiliarity with the nominees. (I've really got to quit my job. It's cutting into valuable time appreciating the rich harvest of the tickling community.)

Again, all the nominees are fabulous and worthy, and while I feel that Ozzy deserves a Pulitzer Prize for Yenny, I'm tossing the 2003 Golden Feather to PhilJ for his playful and eloquent sketches.

(For me, the clincher isn't the solid veteran AR's lively reactions as a ticklee or her skill as a teasing tickler, but the delicious way she breaks up in Tickle Hell #10 when she discovers how susceptible Cory Lane's tender thighs are to a pointed elbow. AR's performances
usually offer lovely touches like that. )

Surpised more people aren't voting, do we even have a quorum? Did not vote in categories where I felt the vote woudl nto be an informed one or where I couldn't make up my mind. For me there were a few "no-brainers" - Hall of Fame for Ashley Rene and Morandilas, Contribution to the Community for MTP Jeff (without whom THIS particualr community wouldn't exist, I suppose) and best non commercial site for The Rockings (in memoriam, I suppose, as he's been effectively forced to shut down).

Had a thought, while "Golden Feather" award is certainly appropriate, maybe the award should be redesigned/renamed? Like the Oscar's? How about a golden statuette of Whitney Prescott?/Ashley Rene?/Yenny? sitting in stocks, bare feet on display and waiting for the inevitable. "And the 'Whitney' for best performance by a Ticklee goes to ..."
